| Protagonists - Personality | |

| One of most interesting aspects of GTA Online for me, which was | |
| revealed in the latest edition of the magazine "Game Informer", | |
| was that you get to make a lot of choices regarding your Online | |
| characters personality. | |
| Summary: | |
| - The fourth [GTA Online] player is fresh off a plane in Los | |
| Santos, character creation involves choosing your mother, father | |
| and grandparents and you're given a character. Then players then | |
| choose a lifestyle, make choices about the things the character | |
| does (partying, couch potato, criminal, athletics nut). | |
| - Characters appear in cutscenes when interacting with other | |
| characters in the world as they would in the single-player but | |
| doesn't speak. | |
| - Female characters can be used in GTA Online. | |
| - Starting skills are based on the chosen lifestyles, but can be | |
| upgraded, as can the look of the character. | |
| - Holding the Select/Back button pulls up a menu where outfits | |
| and gestures can be changed. | |
| What is your opinion about this? And what kind of lifestyle are | |
| you guys planning on choosing for your character? :) | |

| I think I'm gonna start out with picking my own lifestyle and | |
| see how it turns out. Then I'll just change it into something | |
| wacky if it doesn't look good! :) | |

| This sounds pretty cool, hopefully there will be alot of | |
| differences between characters so that we dont get copies of | |
| each other etc. | |
| Has anything been seen about character creation? I cant seem to | |
| find a video on it to see how you can change your looks. | |

| As i understand it you don't change the way you look, you choose | |
| your parents and grandparents and then R* takes care of the | |
| rest. | |
| Found this quote from Leslie Benzie: "That's not how humans are | |
| made in the real world. Normally it involves a man, a woman, and | |
| some sexy time." That sexy time is the foundation of your online | |
| avatar - instead of breaking down the minutia of your | |
| character's appearance, you'll select your parents and | |
| grandparents and see what happens. After that, you select a | |
| lifestyle (party animal, couch potato, etc) to determine your | |
| starting skills. | |

| Ah so they take the genetics from the father and mother and | |
| create what your guy looks like from that? | |

| Yeah, but i don't really know where the mom&dad came from to | |
| start off with. That's the confusing part for me. | |

| It seems like a realistic way to do it, but I know alot of | |
| people like to get the looks of their character perfect before | |
| playing online, usually with sliders and that. | |
| Hopefully there are alot of different characters to choose from | |
| then, I dont want to be in game and see my long lost twin with | |
| the same mother and father haha. | |

| Well if mobility is affected at all where not choosing an | |
| athletic lifestyle makes the character slower, I'm def choosing | |
| athletic nut. I don't wanna get to the summit of Mt. Chiliad, | |
| lose my vehicle, and have to run for 10 minutes back to some | |
| vehicles. And if I have to well at least i'll have some | |
| 'marathon pro perk' to work with | |

| This one is yet to be confirmed, but it is highly unlikely to be | |
| random. Can't imagine R* to go through with that. | |
