First Experience in the City

The world is a big place, a lot of things are out there that
many people normally lose sight of it by staying and living on
one place, different cultures, different histories and different
people to meet, all in which a certain red hedgehog was
interested in. He had desired so much to leave home and just go
seeing the world, but he didn't have that easy, as circumstances
that were out of his control, like the conquest that certain
egg-shape doctor did over the world some time ago; or some more
personal ones, like the stupid traditions of his village and all
that, which honestly, made them a bit isolated and was a good
thing that he and his family move on from that village from
Avalon to another one who was at least more open-minded and they
didn't mind that in his family, there were people with powers.
And after that, when he had the right age and had some training
in both his powers, fighting and surviving out there, he finally
started to make his journey, but even he had it a bit difficult
to leave his family behind, but he knew that staying in one
place wouldn't achieve his dream of seeing the world.
As he went in Mobotropolis for the first time, he looked around
with lots of curiosity on his eyes, which made obvious to anyone
around that he had never been here before or wasn't someone that
visited the city much. He has heard some stuff about this city,
although he find it curious how it manages to combine the
technology with the nature... That nature couldn't help but
giving him some memories of his village, where there was more
nature-based on everything. "(I wonder how are they doing
now...?)" He thought as he closed his eyes for some seconds
until he opened them again and shake his head, trying to return
to reality, now focusing on the city that he was now.
"I wonder if someone could show me how is the city...?" Toni
wondered as whenever he was in a new place and was going to his
own, for some reason, he always found himself in some trouble,
something that usually happens, even when he was a kid.

The porcupine sat outside his shop. He was smoking his favorite
brand of cancer stick. A slow day seeming to lack any buisness.
Computers visible through the front window. His sign also noting
that he repaired robots. The porcupine had another career,
something his sign didn't mention. Though you would never know
just looking at him. While he smoked he was reading a book. The
book red with strange sigils on the cover. The porcupine looked
up from his book from time to time. Keeping a look out for
potential customers.
The street was almost empty a few of the regular passer bys. One
person stood out though. A red hedgehog, the porcupine didn't
recognize. Reck raised his hand to wave over the stranger.
Closing the book in his lap with the other hand. "Greetings
friend. Are you new to Mobotropolis?" The orange porcupine's
yellow eyes glistening.
He stands up from his silver fold up chair next to the smoke
pole. "What is your name, friend?" The porcupine follows.
Setting his book down in the chair. Front cover facing down. A
smile broad across the face of the porcupine. The smile inviting
despite Reck's pointed teeth.

The voice that seemly was calling out to someone made the red
hedgehog turned around, as there wasn't much people going
through the streets, he guessed that whoever said that was
calling out to him. After he turned around, the first thing that
he saw was a shop that Toni thought that it had to do with
technology and such as he could see computers in the other side
of the window, adding as well that the name of the shop give
away that here also repair robots... The hedgehog wasn't really
into such things, not that he wasn't aware that such things
exist as he wasn't exactly living in complete isolation of the
world, but he wasn't an expert on those either, heck, there was
a bit of a time where he couldn't touch electronic objects as
sometimes they would burst due to the sparks that the red
hedgehog let out before he had full control of his lightning
powers.
The next thing that he noticed would be the porcupine that had
raised his voice and was also waving his hand at the hedgehog.
The porcupine was of a brown color with messy and unmanaged
quills, making Toni a bit relief that he is not the only one
with strange quills; and also yellow eyes as the hedgehog notice
the sharp teeth as well, although he didn't care much about
that. Besides that, there wasn't much that could catch his
attention, there was also a red book near the porcupine, but it
didn't have any particularly special. "Heya there!" Toni
answered back to him casually as he started to approach to the
shop and to the porcupine. "Yeah, first time coming here,
although I suppose like any new person coming here, I don't have
much clue of how this place goes." The red hedgehog continued,
laughing awkwardly a bit as he scratches the side of one of his
inferior quills. "The name's Toni Surudoi, but just call me
Toni. And you are?" The red hedgehog asked with a smile as he
put one of his hands on his waist. The lightning marks around
his eyes and on his forehead already could make anyone guess
something about him.

The porcupine felt a strage but familar sensation filling his
being. Reck the porcupine has a strange ability to sense magic,
maybe Toni was? "They call me Reck. Reck Carthage, but we don't
tend to use the last name in my family. " The porcupine eyed the
lightning on the face of the hedgehog. Something was different
about this one, but there was something different about Reck as
well. Reck is an elemental wizard who excells in fire and ice
magics. "Well, welcome to Mobotropolis. I hope you like our
town. There is quite a bit to do around here." The porcupine
gives the hedgehog a good once over. He figures Toni wasn't in
town for a new computer.
The porcupine continues as after the pause. "Mobotropolis is
full all kinds of adventure and good times. All one has to do is
know where to look." The porcupines message almost seeming
cryptic. Though he meant nothing negative about it. It was
something he knew was true about the city. There was always
something happening in Mobotropolis. From crime and heroics to
everyday people living their lives. It was quite the place to
live in Reck's eyes. Though sometimes city life could get to be
overwhelming. "Anything you want to know about the city? If you
want information on the Freedom Fighters though. I am not one
who can help you. Yes, they have a base here. Yes, they all tend
to stay close to the city if nothing is happening elsewhere."
The porcupine had some problems during the war with Infinite,
leaving his views of the freedom fighters quite tainted. He
wanted nothing to do with them.
