Re: (Act 1) Cryo-Stasis

Shoke nervously chuckles.
"That's uh... that's a bit of a story. B-but when you break it
down it's pretty, y'know, something that's kinda common, y'know,
uh, just kinda, sorta, did something really dangerous and stupid
to save the world, but then to prevent that thing I did from
destroying the world they had to send me to some random
dimension, just that sort of thing. Nothing crazy." He continues
to nervously chuckle, then sighing awkwardly. "And yes, I know
what my explaination is definitely crazy." He says. He loosens
his shoulders and sits onto the ground below. Then he looks back
at Veira.
"Well it is a pretty big bag..."

Veira had a face that read " you think" written on it but choose
to be respectful about it. He'd talk about it when he's ready
she guessed not pushing the matter further. She decided to
change the subject a bit. " So this dimension of yours.. what's
it called? what's it like?" she asked.

"Well, the dimension I'm from we call H-1, but that's because
it's, well, the first habitable dimension we found. Cause we
live in it, I mean. We call the planet 'Terra'." He replies,
looking up at the sky.
"While I was there, I tended to complain about situations we
were in, but honestly, it wasn't that bad. I mean, in the grand
scheme of things. I mean, we had two great geniuses working
together to advance science and technology, one of which being
my mentor, um, things are generally rather nice. I mean, aside
from the occasional cyborg problems." He says, almost going into
a blissful state while thinking about all of it.
"I haven't seen much of the tech in this world, but I'm judging
from your reaction to all the stuff in my bag, I'd say we're
probably a decade or two ahead of this time. But hey, if we ever
do go to my dimension, I can introduce you to Dr. Robotnik and
Mr. Prower!" He says, smiling at Veira.

Veira's ears stood up instantly when she heard those two names.
" Robotnik...Prower...you don't mean Ivo Robotnik do you?
Somehow I don't think our dimension are that different. We have
a Robotnik here in our world. While he might be a genius....that
mn is a tyrant trying to turn us all into robots!" Veira said as
a low growl made itself known from the huntress. Her fangs were
bared slightly before calming herself a bit.
" I take it Prower must be Miles " Tails" Prower?" she asked in
a more calmer tone.

"Woah woah woah, calm down!" He says, trying to calm her down
before she asks about Dr. Prower.
"Uh... yeah... Dr. Prower's first name is Miles... though I
don't recall him ever being called Tails..." He pauses and
thinks for a moment, then snapping his fingers.
"Oh, right! Well, Robotnik WAS evil in our universe, trying to
conquer the world and such, he even fought against Sonic the
Hedgehog! But... eventually he realized that he just wasn't
going to beat Sonic and decided that it was all futile. So... he
met a woman, got married, started teaching at a university while
on the side advancing technology by lightyears... or so I've
been told." Shoke said, sighing.
"See, the older brother of the woman Dr. Robotnik married didn't
exactly like being a Brother-in-law to an ex-evil mastermind,
and Robotnik's wife dying in a lab accident certainly didn't
help. So... that man, in order to get revenge on Robotnik
created seven Mobians with the ability to manipulate one of the
seven elements each. Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Light, Darkness,
and Void." Shoke stops. Closing his eyes and squeezing his hand
tightly. He obviously is feeling uncomfortable about this part.
"However... the one who was supposed to be able to control the
Void... couldn't. So... he just sort of... had one of the others
use the failure to try and kill Sonic the Hedgehog." He takes
another breath, trying to keep himself calm.
"They didn't succeed, and the failure was left for dead, as an
attempt to throw the blame onto someone who couldn't do anything
about it."
Shoke pauses. He closes his eyes and continues to breathe,
trying to keep himself calm.
"But... with nothing going for him... and all the deck stacked
against them... he believed me. Sonic believed me." Tears start
forming in Shoke's eyes, and he's shaking, and not because of
the cold.
"He believed me..."

Veira was at a loss for words hearing Shoke's story. She
honestly was expecting this stuff to just flop right in her lap
like this. But hearing all of this was a shock indeed. However
when Shoke started to tremble and even cry, Veira couldn't help
but feel guilty for bringing the subject up. Her ears lowered a
bit before placing a hand on Shoke's shoulder.
" Look i'm sorry...I shouldn't had tied to pry to deep into your
life. I apologize." Veira stated with a small bow to the lynx
before looking ahead again. With all that was going on, she
didn't know how to feel.

"No, wait." He holds his hand out, trying to stop Veira.
"It's... it's not your fault. I... it's my fault. You just
wanted to know about my world... I'm the one who made it about
me. I... it's my fault for not stopping while I was ahead. I
just... I sometimes have trouble stopping when it comes to,
well... exposition." He says, wiping the tears from his face.

Natasha frowned a little as she glanced around, noting a cliff
edge a bit higher up than where they were. "Well, if we could
get up there," she said as she pointed to the spot, "we could
see who they are and maybe get a look at what they're hauling;
my bet is it isn't anything good, but knowing for sure would be
nice." She brushed her hand against the cold stone beside her,
freezing and smooth; there was no way they were going to climb
up it without some serious rock climbing gear, which they didn't
have. Not even Bulb with his drilling claws would be able to get
a safe hold on it; "Any of you guys got an idea on how to get up
there?"

Shoke hears Natasha, and decides to just do what Veira wants to
do and drops the conversation. He then goes over to Natasha and
looks up at the ledge above them.
"Hm... not too high up..." He says, putting his left hand on his
chin. He then turns to Natasha.
"I have a way I can get up there, but it'll only work for me.
That sound good to you, miss?" He asks.

Re: (Act 1) Cryo-Stasis
By: Vallerah Date: November 26, 2015, 5:25 am
---------------------------------------------------------
Upon realizing that the way she had moved ahead had no real
vision of the mysterious group, Vallerah sighed and returned to
the rest of them; just in time to hear Natasha.
The tiger looked up, frowned a little in thought before sitting
down, flattening the snow in front of her and drew out some
mathematical diagrams regarding with a rough stick figure sketch
of each member of the group, the cliff and of course some
numbers, estimated angles and other relevant calculations.
"Wweeeeeellllll~" she hummed as she got back to her feet,
pointing to various points in the diagram with her tail, "We
could either have one Scout to look-"
She gestured to Shoke due to his suggestion.
"Ooooor, if ya reckon it would benefit to have more eyes than
one pair to have a look, I could literally toss the rest of ya
there~ Unless anyone else can fly? Or teleport? Or climb? Or
magic themselves somehow?" she continued before comedically
flexing her muscles - which honestly were deceivingly not
showing too much. She prodded against her calculations again for
emphasis, "I wouldn't worry either, having some snow up there
will be for your benefit for the landing part, and I can pretty
much give you a ninety-eight percent guarantee a safe landing -
as long as there aren't any sharp rocks sticking out... or
mines... or traps... or it's actually a dormant volcano and
you'd all right into it... or Yetis, yeaaah, gotta watch out for
those, they always like to steal Mobian's left boot for some odd
reason..."
