Application - Grizzyn
By: Grizzyn Date: February 18, 2020, 2:19 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
- How did you learn about the Sixty Thieves?
From friends in the guild (hey Welkin!). The character hasn't
heard of you yet.
- What is your character's name and race?
Grizzyn Gorgeous, a goblin. (It's not her birth name but what
kind of shmuck limits themselves like that?) IG name Grizzyn
- Why do you and your character seek to join the Sixty Thieves?
I have heard plenty of good about you from aforementioned
friends and you seem to be a large and active guild of good
people and roleplayers. I haven't done MMO-rp in a few years now
and would like somewhere to get back in it again and by all
accounts sixty thieves would be wonderful!
As for Grizzyn, she's out on her luck, broke and without
friends. She needs to put what few assets she has to work and
earn that almighty moolah. More than anything she needs people
to support and protect her and that she can support in turn -
"friends".
- Tell us about your character's background and how they
became/are becoming a criminal
Grizzyn is a Booty Bay goblin who grew up impoverished after her
father ruined the family on some poor investments into the Horde
during the Second War. Since then she's had to go from
kodopoopty job to kodopoopty job to make ends meet, alongside
occasionally selling her "company" or picking a few pockets. She
finally gained some stability working with an apothecary before
being lured away by a handsome goblin's honeyed words and sold
what she had to move to Kezan. She barely had time to realize
she was getting scammed before the island was destroyed and she
had to sell herself for a place on an escape boat. Since then
she's been working off her debt to Gallywix, being sent from
kodopoopty job to kodopoopty job without the skill or moxy to
get out of it.
With Gallywix' fall she's suddenly free but also has seen what
contacts and savings she had vanish with him and so she's
finding herself starting anew with nothing but her pretty face,
charm and a shabby alchemist's kit.
- What kind of skills does your character have?
Grizzyn recieved some training in the fel arts from her bitter
old father but hasn't learned more than the beginnings. She does
have an imp at her command which she dotes on and treats like a
pet, when not keeping it hidden away from prying horde Grunts.
She leaves it out of Orgrimmar, as much as it saddens her. Her
primary skill is within alchemy and she knows how to brew simple
health potions, poisons or mix up an explosive Ratchet Cocktail.
Not to mention blend her own hair dye! Being from Booty Bay, she
speaks common fluently and a smattering of Zandali.
She knows which end to stick people with her dagger if push
comes to shove and has at least some experience in
pickpocketing.
- How powerful is your character?
Not at all, in short. She couldnt stand toe-to-toe with most
opponents without the deck stacked in her favour and prefers to
avoid fighting where she can. That said, a blast of fel fire is
dangerous to anyone who isnt prepared for it. Alchemy is her
greater skill but even here she cant raise the dead or regrow
limbs, just ease and improve the healing process.
- How would you define conflict in RP, and how do you feel about
consequences?
Id define it as any time two character has opposing goals. The
goblin wants to pick the orcs pocket who in turn wants to keep
their money. And the two trolls both want to win their fight. It
then becomes a matter of doing what makes sense with the
situation and your abilities and to never see character loss as
player loss but just as something adding to a story. That is
also my view on consequences, something that makes for more
story.
- Do you accept character death?
Yes.
- What would your character's nickname be?
Possibly something like Rose or Rouge, due to her red hair
respectively her tendency to overdo her makeup.
- Anything else you'd like to share about your character or
yourself?
Ive roleplayed for many years on forums, MMO and in tabletop
form so Im not that inexperienced. While I have played law
enforcement before I havent done much rp from the other side
so Im excited to try it out!
As for the character, my intent is for her to join your band of
courtesans while giving her enough of a wide skill set to be
useful elsewhere as needed. I have read through your rules and
code of conduct.

Hello, hello!
Thanks for taking the time to write this application and for
your general interest! The officers are eager to meet your
goblin in-game, so this application has been approved!
Contact an officer in-game to organise a way to lead to an
interview of your character, unless you've ideas of your own as
to how to approach joining the guild!
Officers are Zria, Thalindor and Laerynna

(Very belated) thanks for the response! Unfortunately I must
withdraw the application, due to In Character happenings.

Hi!
IC is IC, so completely understandable! Hope to see you in the
roleplay scene nonetheless, and have fun!
