Driven pheasant

Been invited to my first shoot ..looking a few pointers to point
me in right direction ... Choke ammo etc any advice greatly

Fantastic. Where are you shooting firstly. What gun will you be
using ie guage?

12g silver pigeon ... And it's at ballyward just outside

Havn't shot there myself yet so cannot be too specific but
generally 1/4 and 1/2 choke if you have the choice. Get hold of
some Gamebore black gold carts in a 32gm no 6 flavour. try to
shoot you birds well out in front and keep the ranges sensible
if youre unsure. Pick birds you are confident you can hit but
which present a bit of a challenge. If you find you're having
difficulty shooting at birds straight on turn 90 degrees and
shoot them as crossers. That way you'll be able to juge the lead
youre giving. Just treat them as clays dont worry about missing
and dont think too much about it. It only takes one good kill to
make your day.

do a bit of pheasant shooting myself i use a rule bum belly beak
bang lol sound silly but works for me hit 2 at wkend cant hit
snip bit fast for me lol ;D
