Hi There
Its down to choice, Price and what you want to shoot.
is it Target or Practical. If you intend to go Glock the 17 will
be best as it has a longer barrel than the Glock 19 & better
Sight picture.
A CZ SP01 shadow would be a really good choice.
Hope this helps.

You won't go wrong if you go for CZ. Glock pistols are very
reliable, but not everybodys cup of tea. The 17 can be a bit
chunky and rough to handle. I've always found the 19 to be a far
more pleasurable pistol to shoot and hold.
The Beretta 92FS is a superb pistol, but at over 1000 new it
falls outside of the sensible price range imo. Heard good
reports about Springfield Armoury pistols, but haven't held or
fired any.
Have a look at the pistols under the sportwaffen section of
wwe.frankonia.de There are dealers here who deal with Frankonia,
and now and again there are special deals and offers sent to the
dealers.

The 226 is a good gun. Feels quite chunky in the hands. Reliable
enough too. Wouldn't be my cup of tea, but they have a very
loyal following in the states.

Hi Canon
I have a Taurus PT99 which is made in Brazil ( Nearly Exact to
the Beretta 92fs)& is a better pistol in my opinion as Beretta
have adopted some of Taurus mods to the 92fs. The Taurus has a
stronger hand guard & the frame safety & decocker is far better
than the slide safety.
You will pay around 750 new for a Taurus in Chrome & I can
highly recommend this pistol.
Im just back from the states & fired the Springfield & S$W M&P
which are very similar to the glock.
Remember if you buy something like a CZ SP01 SHADOW or Taurus
PT99 your buying a quality pistol.
Also remember you will want to buy extra Mags for these and the
CZ is a lot more expensive that the Taurus.
Also a Browning Hi Power is a really good choice.

I have fired a couple of Taurus PT92's over the years, and I
just couldn't warm to them in comparison to the Beretta 92's.
The magazines on the Taurus pistols just didn't lock the slide
when empty, and the fit of the Taurus pistols is (or at least
was) sloppy in comparison to the Berettas.
The price of either the PT92/PT99 or the Beretta 92FS is more
than twice what you would pay in the States. You've heard the
old saying you get what you pay for. Well we're not getting
anything different than our American counterparts when we buy
these pistols, so why the massive price differences? $600 would
get you a new Beretta 92FS or M9 in America. Over here you're
pushing $1700. More than 1000 of a difference. It's
unjustifiable.
