| .22 Ammo which one | |

| I am in a bit of a pickle ref .22 ammo bought some CCI subsonic | |
| 40 grain for CZ 455 as its a new rifle and scope had to zero it | |
| in,i am a competent enough rifle shot to know when i pull one | |
| of a grouping, most of my shooting has been done with higher | |
| powered ammo so not up to speed on .22. | |
| Clamped rifle down to remove element of human error and tried | |
| again the amount of drop on some rounds at 50 yards was 3 to 4 | |
| inches.Can anybody recommend a round that is more consistent | |
| with CZ 455 have seen one review and it gave Eley rounds a good | |
| write up any help would be welcome. | |

| RWS Subsonics are a far better round. They're cleaner than Eley | |
| as well. | |

| I can fault Eley at all. Mate has the same rifle as mine | |
| but his prefers the cci subs. It just means trying | |
| different brands. | |

| Yes thats the route i am going down buying different brands | |
| going to clamp rifle and see results then after that i can only | |
| blame my shooting if not on target. | |

| Make sure when clamping the rifle that you aren't putting any | |
| pressure on the barrel. On some rimfire rifles there is a | |
| dovetail notch cut out of the underside of the barrel to allow | |
| fitment of a threaded block. The stock covers this threaded | |
| block and a screw goes through the stock into the threaded block | |
| which pulls the barrel towards the stock to prevent barrel | |
| movement. If you clamp near this area you could affect the | |
| barrel harmonics, and you won't get the accuracy you're after | |
| from any brand of ammo. | |
| You would probably be better using a combination of sandbags to | |
| rest the stock on. This way the rifle won't move and the barrel | |
| gets to float like it's supposed to. | |

| The gun vice i use clamps butt, the stock sits in a v shape bean | |
| bag then a velcro strap goes over stock close to breach this | |
| give the stock room to | |
| float.[URL= | |
