Blue green algae at Hillsborough lake |

Saw a Lisburn Council sign warning of blue green algae on |
|
Hillsborough lake. |
|
Mind you, the sign was an A4 laminated sheet with font size 12 |
|
ish so not much use to the lads who were fishing |
|
today............. |
|
First warning I've ever seen though, about blue green algae. |

A woman I worked with lives close by and she told me that 12 |
|
dogs were killed in a fortnight from swimming in it last summer. |
|
Apparently it's poisonous to dogs. |

Stoneyford reservoir. Had the same signs up a few weeks ago my |
|
springer came out in a powerful rash from swimming in it . |
|
Obviously this was a few days before the signs appeared |
