Risso's Dolphins. 5th.March 2012 |

|
I heard that there was three Risso's at Catfirth, I heard late |
|
on Sun.the 4th. |
|
The next morning I drove south to Catfirth, when I arrived I met |
|
with Austin Taylor.. He was just leaving.. |
|
So I set up my camera and long lens on my tripod.. |
|
The animals were swimming back and forward in front of me.. |
|
Two always kept close, but the other one kept its distance.. |
|
Then the one that kept its distance started to slapping its tail |
|
a few times |
|
then threw itself clear of the water for about six times, I |
|
don't know if it was happy or showing off, but it was amazing |
|
watching it.. |
|
I used up all my space on my flash/card.. So I made my way home, |
|
then i remembered that I had my sony-nex with my 400mm lens |
|
attached, but by this time I was nearly home.. |
