The Battle Variant N Discussion
By: Shane Date: November 6, 2013, 8:53 am

Yeah, because I don't know if I'll post it here or wherever. :P
I'm busy with my characters right now, in terms of applying
tropes to them.
I might need KarjamP's help here. :P
Any tropes that would work for a Princess who doesn't want to be
one, and related tropes?
(Rather Random Rachel from TV Tropes mentioned the Rebellious
Princess trope; would that work?)
(And yes, it's the Variant N-Kim; I figured it's better to not
destroy the Variantial Timeline or something by not having a Kim
in that variant :P)
If you need a full list of tropes, I might add it to my Troper
Page later.

What is, ah, "The Battle"?

They're a series of Freeform RPG's
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freeform_role-playing_game
that
usually takes place in a variation of the universe from the
Dragon Riders saga (novels and mods).
Most (but not all) of the RPGs require its participants to fill
out character sheets for its characters.
There's only a relatively few rules, which are recent. A few of
these are:
[li]A courtesy rule: don't control other people's
characters without their permission.[/li][li]An even more recent
rule: each participant take turns posting what their characters
do (so that it's easier for Shane to keep track of the
story).[/li]
By the way, KarjamP, since the Endanian Chronicles is, by my
definition, also a "Battle" (there's a Draconia in it,
apparently), what Variant is it in the Purple Karjam's books?

"Non-canon". :P

Even if there's a Shane and Kim? :P
Anyway, my Troper Page
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Tropers/ShaneBaneNeumann;<br
/>the tropes regarding Variant N is at the bottom.
Taylor helped me with the tropes for Kim, prior to leaving.
And [acronym="Rather Random Rachel"]Triple R[/acronym], KarjamP
and Kyler Thatch helped out with the "Rebellious Princess"
trope.
They all have my sincerest gratitude, of course. :)

At least, I don't consider it canon to PK's adventure.
You can classify that, if you want to.

Even if this... "PK" guy visits it solely for the purpose of
meeting the protagonists after the main quest is complete, where
they then head to another fictive planet where this PK guy comes
from?

PK = Purple Karjam
http://shanescavestory.createaforum.com/karjamp%27s-characters-87/(all)-the-pur…
He's a multiverse wanderer who researches stuff, and his base of
operations is in the Karjamian homeworld, Karjam's Domain (which
is an infinite plane of existence).
His Birthworld, dubbed Purple_E, is named after both the name of
its sole world with life (Earth) AND the fact that PK came from
it.
Other than Area 51 being a secret base of operations for bizarre
science experiments instead of an airport base like in real life
(with said airport base being used as a cover), it's pretty much
identical to just about any realistic Earths in fiction.
