HITO
By: Shane Date: September 6, 2013, 9:32 am
---------------------------------------------------------
[tt]HITO:
The element of people. It is a very unique element, as it
changes depending on the gender of those with this element. The
Hito element can be split up into three categories: Hito-Fille,
Hito-Garon and Hito-Mystre. Hito-Fille can only be used by
female characters, while Hito-Garon can only be used by male
characters. Hito-Mystre is only usable by characters who are
neither male or female. Each has its own weaknesses and
strengths, too. Note: if, in some way, a character's gender is
changed by magic, the Hito-element will also change.
On planet Endania, anyone who originates from outside the
Dariian galaxy or knowingly uses shapeshifting to trick the
element will result in massive damage from all 50 elements.
HITO-FILLE:
Only female characters can use Hito-Fille as an element.
Strong against: Hito-Garon; Hito-Mystre; Magic; Heart; Spirit;
Quintessence; Illusion; Astral; Gem; Cuteness
Weak against: (to do)
No effect on: Thunder
Immune to: Magic; Fabric; Hito-Fille
Powers up: (to do)
HITO-FILLE-ELEMENT ABILITIES:
Cute Charm: Contact with the character may cause infatuation.
Fashion Sense: If the character wears specific clothing and
battles in certain areas, something good may happen.
Femme Fatale: If the character is equipped with two daggers, she
can attack twice per turn. In addition, her attacks will always
poison the enemy, unless it is immune. This ability is negated
if the character is wielding one dagger and not two.
Fille Fatale: If the character is equipped with a dagger, she
can attack twice per turn. In addition, her attacks will always
poison the enemy, unless it is immune. This ability is negated
if the character is wielding two daggers and not one.
Girl Power: For each female character in the party, all females
gain a bonus to their Magical Attack, Magical Defense and
Intelligence stats.
Kiss of Life: If an allied character is dead for less than three
turns, this ability can be activated. The dead character may be
revived. This ability can only be used on male characters.
Maiden's Fury: Powers up all techniques of the Hito-Fille
element, should the character's HP reach 1/3 or less.
Seductress: All attacks on this character has a small chance of
causing infatuation, be it magical attacks, ranged attacks or
otherwise. This only works on male characters and enemies.
HITO-GARON:
Only male characters can use Hito-Garon as an element.
Strong against: Hito-Fille; Hito-Mystre; Physical; Serpentine;
Squirrel; Data; Metal
Weak against: (to do)
No effect on: Thunder
Immune to: Fabric; Hito-Garon; None
Powers up: (to do)
HITO-GARON-ELEMENT ABILITIES:
Ally Cover: If a character has this ability, he takes blows that
are meant for his allies. This ability is negated if the
character has less than 25% of his HP remaining.
Anger Point: If the character takes damage from a Critical Hit,
the character's Attack stat is doubled for the rest of the
battle.
CPR: If an allied character is dead for less than three turns,
this ability can be activated. The dead character may be
revived. This ability can only be used on female characters.
Fashion Sense: If the character wears specific clothing and
battles in certain areas, something good may happen.
Guts: Increases all offensive stats when the character is
afflicted with a status ailment.
Guy Power: For each male character in the party, all males gain
a bonus to their Attack, Defense and Strength stats.
Huge Power: Once the character's HP reaches 1/3, all Hito-Garon
elemental techniques are powered up.
Rage: Increases all offensive stats of the character if an
allied character is killed.
HITO-MYSTRE:
Only genderless characters, or characters with unknown genders,
can use Hito-Mystre as an element.
Strong against: Hito; Heart; Spirit; Data; Blah; Physical;
Chaos; Astral; Solar; Lunar; Crystal
Weak against: (to do)
No effect on: Thunder
Immune to: Fabric; Hito-Mystre; Blah
Powers up: (to do)
HITO-MYSTRE-ELEMENT ABILITIES:
Ambiguity: For each character with unknown genders in the party,
all genderless characters gain a bonus to their Agility,
Dexterity and Stealth stats.
Close Combat: If this character participates in a combo, his/her
attacks will be extended in length, dealing even more damage.
Darkness of the Unknown: All Hito-Mystre element attacks
techniques are powered up once the character's HP reaches 1/3.
In addition, all normal attacks deal Darkness-element damage.
Fashion Sense: If the character wears specific clothing and
battles in certain areas, something good may happen.
Jealousy: Raises all offensive stats of the character if an
allied character kills an enemy during a combo that this
character participated in. If this ability is activated for the
fifth time in battle, all participants in the battle take damage
and the character's offensive stats are reset to what it was
before the first time this ability was activated.
Nerve Edge: If the character is equipped with two daggers,
he/she deals double damage. In addition, this character's melee
attacks will always be Poison-based and has a 5% chance of
inflicting sudden death.
Rousing Speech: The character can double all stats for five
turns. This ability only works in battle if there is a boss
enemy.
Wheel of Elements: The character's attacks will always deal
damage of a random element, similar to Blah-element
characters.[/tt]
Please suggest abilities for the HITO element.
You are also allowed to ask questions regarding the HITO element
or its abilities in this thread.
Taylor went all out with HITO-FILLE, by the way. All those
abilities there? Chosen by her.
Also, this must be the only element that can change along with
gender...
Hermaphrodites
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Hermaphrodite
count
as Hito-Mystre element characters.

For the Hito-Fille element:
Zettai Ryouiki: has a 25% chance of distracting male characters,
inside combat or out of combat. This will only work if the
character has a miniskirt and thigh-high stockings as their
"appearance".
(Yes. I noticed that "Appearance" has no use. So I decided it
may as well have one. :)[nobbc])[/nobbc]
For all three:
Road of Destiny: for every Hito-element enemy in the Tome of
Monsters or any other Bestiary, this character's HP stat is
increased by 5. However, their Attack and Defense stats are
lowered by 1.

What about Hermaphrodites
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Hermaphrodite?
They're people who are both male and female at the same time.

Um.
That would result in a loophole of sorts, so they'll count as
Hito-Mystre characters.
Why?
Said loophole would be the ability to access both Hito-Fille and
Hito-Garon, which was intended to be only single-gender.
In addition, that would give them immunities to the Fabric,
Magic, Fabric, Hito-Fille, Hito-Garon and None elements.
The first post has been updated with the information regarding
them.
...
Speaking of which, I just remembered two abilities for other
elements I had thought up.

PK knows how to fool the Hito element into thinking PK has
changed gender (he does so via shapeshifting. :P ), thus,
allowing him to use abilities exclusive to males and females (he
doesn't want to, though, especially since he loves having no
gender. :P ).

The Endanian planet works differently, however.
According to what Taylor told me, the Purple Karjam is bound by
the rules/laws of a planet, right?
If it's true, then the Endanian planet WILL cause retribution.
In other words, anyone who originates from outside the Dariian
galaxy or knowingly uses shapeshifting to trick the element will
result in massive damage from all 50 elements.
Surfacians therefore will take massive damage.
Sylraphians, Draconians, Ciraians, and Clorensians for example
won't set off the Endanian planet's fury.
Also, the Blah-elemental Randomize
http://shanescavestory.createaforum.com/elemental-ability-decision-board/blah/<…
/>ability has been retconned or something: the character's abili
ty
changes randomly every turn. It resets to "Randomize" at the end
of every battle. If the ability changes to a Hito-element
ability, it will also change depending on the gender - male
characters with this ability can NOT get a Hito-Fille or
Hito-Mystre ability, for instance.

PK has ridiculously high endurance, so even if he's hit with all
elements, that's not enough to kill him.
Will seriously injure him, though.
Besides, he's insanely clever (by building up both his knowledge
base and exercising his mind to the point where the only beings
who can legitimatly defeat him in a logic game are
similarly-clever (like Mary Sues, which is why he doesn't try to
outwit them and just retreats when they try to challenge PK in a
logic/knowledge-based contest) or even more so (like God as
portrayed by Christians, as not only Christians say he's
omniscient, they also say God invented logic, which is why he
can get away with our definitions of logic), so what's to say he
won't successfully invade that attack, or even prevent it from
firing at all?
PK hasn't being described as being effectively a demigod for
nothing.
Besides, this "retcon" might make the bonus boss fight
impossible to do in the Endania, in which case, PK would try to
have the battle outside it like Draconia or Karjam's Domain
(where KarjamP, who's omnipotent there, can force the abilities
to work 100% there and work properly with PK without any sort of
setbacks like what you've described).
(Fun fact: one of PK's fears is turning out to be a Mary Sue
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MarySue).
