second gear on the 88 has just started jumping out.easy fix? if |
|
left will it cause more trouble?or should i just rebuild it now |

I would fix it earlier than later, depending on the cause it may |
|
be damaging other parts. |
|
I just rebuilt on that lost some parts and only driven a few |
|
miles after issues started and you could see where the gears had |
|
rubbed together. |
|
This is what I found in the gearbox when I stripped it |

|
On mine it was down to the rear mainshaft nut coming loose - |
|
easy enough to check by taking off the top cover on the transfer |
|
box (or removing the overdrive if you have one). |
