Volunteer day at Apedale Railway 5&6th March 2022 |

Leafers volunteers/working party to re-lay tracks at Apedale |
|
light railway (the LATP location) on weekend 5th and 6th March. |
|
Right ho folks, our hosts for Leafers Apedale light railway, |
|
have run volunteer days from companies like NetworkRail, over |
|
the years. |
|
So I thought the good people of Leafers could do our own day(s), |
|
as the railway is run by volunteers only by them selfs, days |
|
like theses really help them out. |
|
I myself is a member of the railway, so I asked them if we could |
|
run a day and Sat 5th & Sun 6th March is a free weekend for |
|
them. |
|
We need about 10 to 20 (20 max number) on site, Any more and |
|
it�s hard to organise. We have a nice big job, to relay some |
|
track in the field railway, the one that runs around the show |
|
field you saw in Leafers. |
|
It�s a lot of hard work lifting and packing track, only skill |
|
you need is to be able to hold a shovel. |
|
Camping on site is available for those wanting/ able to do both |
|
days. |
|
See couple of pics of last time we need this. |
|
If people are interested can you let me know to see if have the |
|
numbers to go ahead with this. |
