What an awesome weekend! ;D |
|
It was great to see lots of old friends, and fantastic to see so |
|
many new faces and their Land Rovers. |
|
Hope everyone had as a good a time as we had. It�s the people |
|
(old and new) that make the event such a fun, friendly and |
|
relaxed weekend. |
|
A massive thank you to everyone who helped behind the scenes. |
|
I�m not naming names as I don�t want to miss someone out. But |
|
you, and everyone else, knows who you are |
|
All the people, the great beer, and delicious grub made Friday |
|
and Saturday evenings lively and enjoyable. Special thanks to |
|
Vinny and his little helper Mick for doing the catering |
|
|
|
For the people that stayed Sunday night, we had a cracking |
|
evening - who could forget Mick�s conversations with Violet, AND |
|
the rest of it! He says he doesn�t know what came over him but |
|
he�s worried that it may be Ashcroft! |
|
We had a 150 vehicles on Saturday � a very very respectable |
|
turnout. Sunday�s weather was a �tiny bit rainy� but some hardy |
|
people still turned up |
|
This was our last year at the NCM and, despite the weather on |
|
Sunday, we managed to raise a very respectable �1075 for them |
|
The 2019 venue will be announced soon � make sure you block off |
|
August bank holiday 2019 for the NEW Leafers at t�Pit! |

NB Due to the weather on Sunday, we have quite a few 2018 |
|
plaques left over. As the profit from the plaques is used to pay |
|
for the running of this forum, we have decided to make them |
|
available to any forum member who wants one. They will be �5 |
|
each (which includes P&P). If you�d like one, please PM me |

Two quick thank yous from me! |
|
Firstly, to Paula and the rest of the folk who helped behind the |
|
scenes. Paula (and her mighty to do list) are the reason that |
|
the weekend was a success ❤ |
|
Secondly, to you guys for turning up, offering to help, and |
|
generally being wonderful. |
|
I was pretty nervous in the run up to it, but I needn't have |
|
been. As everyone says, it's the people that make it what it is. |
|
We'll keep you updated on our plans for a new venue, but for now |
|
it's over and out. |

to antarmike for the firewood and the removal of what we didn't |
|
use .it's all the bits that everyone does that go un hailed that |
|
makes us work. cheers mick 9hope ive still got some friends |

after possible nerve agent poisoning though i feel i battled it |
|
with aplomb ? |

Fifth year at Leafers but the first time camping on site and Oh |
|
what I have missed the other 4 years. |
|
A big thank you to all those who worked so hard to make it |
|
happen, and cleared up after we had gone. |
|
Met up with lots of old friends and made plenty of new ones. |
