Coil sprung 88" series 2
By: baldy 1 Date: April 24, 2017, 11:18 am

Going to look at a 1966 2a coiled series 2 on wednesday.
Taxed/tested(tax free obviously)
Owners had it 14 years.
2.25 petrol
1985 chassis
Not my cup of tea but I'm going to see it. I do have a habit of
falling in love with shite at the first sight
Already have three that get minimal use.
If I'm not interested is anyone?
It's in Durham.
Any good to anyone on here?

Is the owners name Brian Witherspoon as I have done some lanes
with NERO with a vehicle of that description and he was that
area.
Was a very tidy vehicle and mods where done before the points
system so all legit.

Don't know Doug, got there today to be told it was sold.
Wasted journey but might have been worth it.
It was in Willington beside Crook if your mate was from that
area?

Avenger 4x4 in Peterborough has one for sale (i work next door
to them) fully inspected by the DVLA, Marshland galvanised coil
sprung chassis, 1000's spent on rebuilding the 3.5 V8 with
webber carb, RR axles, loads of paperwork of all the wiring the
guys done, part numbers for everything the P.O fitted should the
need for replacement need to be found, receipts etc etc only
leaks is a slight one from the gearbox, which also has
overdrive, quite a few odd little features like the wipers are
Freelander rear wiper units, adjustable rear tow hitch and
fitted with reversing sensors etc, he's after 4000 for it.
