Shawn Heilbron has got to go. Again, he's just all talk and no
substance. Here's an article from 2017 -- yes, 2017!!!! -- where
he brought up the pressing need to upgrade Joe Nathan Field.
https://www.sbstatesman.com/2017/04/02/heilbron-discusses-plans-for-joe-nathan-…
"Heilbron does think it is necessary to have 1,500 to 2,000
seats surrounding Joe Nathan Field. The current facility has
bleachers that accommodate 1,000 people, according to Stony
Brook Athletics. They cannot host night games, because they do
not have lights, and the current bathroom facility at the field
is a row of porta potties.
He made his intentions clear that the baseball-softball complex
is the next most pressing need on his agenda, now that
construction for a new indoor practice facility that will allow
all Stony Brook intercollegiate athletic teams to practice all
year long is under way."
What happened to that idea, Heilbron, you useless hack? Four
years ago and nothing has come out of it. F**king deadweight.

Want to know why? Because of money. SH told me he is fighting an
uphill battle with NYS and boosters to raise serious money for
improvements. If SBU were a private institution, I could see
them being FBS already. Yes, SH is to blame, but so is Scumbag
Cuomo..
[/quote]
Shawn cant raise money. Neither can the head of Seawolves
United. Both need to go. Stop blaming the state and not blaming
Seawolves United.

Ill never stop blaming the state because i know how they
operate. But you are correct about the Seawolves United not
doing their job. I can't argue that. SH needs to step up to the
plate in a hurry, and find money, or he needs to go.
SH is a very nice man. He's smart, witty, and perhaps he's
cunning. I think that's why he is able to stay as SB AD. I like
him as a person and as someone, I would talk to at every
Highschool football game. With that said. it really does come
down to the health of the SBU athletic department. If Seawolves
United and SH cant raise money to continue operations then
somebody else needs to come in and try a different approach. Not
surprisingly SH knows this and excepts all responsibilities for
this. I feel SBU is being unfairly targeted by NYS for not
supporting the sports program in a way that helps
student-athletes. SH is in a very difficult situation right now
trying to secure funds in a very difficult time. Between the
pandemic, Dublins legal issues, and so on, SH doesn't really
have another alumnus who is willing to drop big money into the
athletic departments. Money that fans donate is a spit in the
bucket. They need millions, not thousands to sustain status as a
D1 university.
