Big loss imo. Prob saw the writing on the wall, and put his |
|
family first. Either Geno on his last legs or Heilbron not |
|
getting renewed. |

I would think that this was an easy one for Rickard. The ice |
|
seems thin at Stony Brook with Geno and with college sports in |
|
general, and instead he can stay in the community and help build |
|
what's going on at Stony Brook School � two new turf fields, a |
|
skyrocketing baseball program with a potential MLB first rounder |
|
next year, free private school tuition for his kids ... can he |
|
even live in one of those houses that the school owns? |
|
Salary-wise, I have to think it's no more than a lateral move, |
|
but you can't put a price on the stability, lower stress level |
|
and maybe those added perks too. |

|
geno is probably putting money in the bank and knows he won't |
|
get anymore time here after his contract is over. he is a smart |
|
man that way. Heilbron has 9 lives and it's a shame. |

As a local guy, it would be fun if Rickard turns the Stony Brook |
|
School into an elite prep bball program. SBS hiring Rickard |
|
makes me think they want to elevate the hoops program |
