6-3/190 so G JB Frankel 6.5 ppg, .413 3-pt FG%
I'm going to use a homework pass here. A few thoughts ...
- King's a legitimate conference POY candidate if Northeastern
can finish strong. I'd say it's him, Brzovic and Newby in some
order. Talent-wise, he's right up there no matter what.
- No Troutman I don't think. He had 22 against us, much of it
from the line, in our first go-around. They've done all right in
his absence.
- Pratt's been such a find, as has been Frankel.
- I feel like we can defend OK here. 11 feels like a couple too
many, but in the end, we're looking for a W, not to keep it
close.
Go SB.

No buckets in over 6 minutes. We really have nothing when Luster
isn't hitting.

The final score is so misleading. Northeastern was up by 29
points with 12 minutes left. Wow, we cut it down to 11 when they
weren't trying!
Luster cannot go for 2-for-13, and 1-for-8 from three. Sorry,
but we need him to be his average self just to even have a
fighting chance.
A good 20/15 double double for Snoddy, at least. He might end
the year as a double digit scorer with the way he's stepped up
without Octave and Frey.

Some people were especially pleased with the 16-4 run at the
end, especially the last bucket from OConnor. Not worthy of
Scott Van Pelts show but geez that was bad.
I dont know that Northeastern is a CAA title contender, but
theyre not somebody Id want to face if my team was one. I
think right now were looking at UNCW, Towson and Charleston in
that order, then a drop to William & Mary and Sinani-less
Campbell.
Im so curious what happens to our roster when the season wraps
up.

It's hard to see this team competing next year. I think Snoddy
and Wight both graduate, and Luster and O'Connor seem destined
for the portal.

The current landscape of college basketball makes it virtually
impossible to be consistently competitive unless some mega donor
swoops in and starts giving bags of cash to these players and/or
successful coaches. Then, maybe they stay at Stony Brook and
establish a culture. Now, Its a one year proposition and then
starting from scratch. Im not adding anything original here,
but its just frustrating and Im not a fan of what college
sports has become. Its ugly. the AD has a tough job here trying
to build a consistent winning program going forward.

Luster being gone is a given, regardless of how he played this
game. Where is O'Connor going to get the kind of minutes he
gets here? Nowhere, unless he downshifts to a weaker conference
or DII. Still, he's an OH native, and may want to play closer
to home (maybe Mid-American) as a tradeoff? We'll probably be
bare bones next year with O'Connor (?), Woodard, Gorman, Frey,
and Nahar returning, at best.

i think there's an even bigger problem brewing- nahar plays on
the perimeter. in the limited minutes ive seen gorman, he's
camped out behind the arc as well.
so with wight and snoddy gone that leaves... nyarko. our next
biggest body is 6'6'' walk-on peyton frey. no one else even on
the radar.
