Margrethe and Henrik News and Events
By: ABS Date: December 26, 2017, 2:12 pm

Going to church at Christmas. It is sad seeing Henrik like this.
Two men holding his hands - like a little kid.
Marge is the pro she is, gotta give her that.

It IS sad to see him like that, but based on my experience with
my father the sooner a family understands that their parent no
longer is able to think and act like an adult, the better it is
for everyone. The family doesn't have to wonder why their
parent is acting so strangely and the parent no longer is
fearful and troubled trying to manage everyday situations that
are suddenly difficult and confusing. I give Marge a huge pat
on the back for providing the support that obviously makes
Henrik more comfortable and also for accepting him and his
limitations. Alzheimer's is a horrible disease. God bless you
Marge and Henrik.

Very sweet, Chris, and so true.
At least he looks happy, smiling like that.

He does, and I'm sure he is. I hope he's aware that one of his
"minders" is wearing a Henrik monogram on his jacket. That
certainly would make the king happy!

It's nice that they went to church and that Marge was not afraid
to take Henrik with his minders.

Henri is hospitalized in Denmark.
He has been in Egypt since the beginning of January, but got ill
there and was brought back to Denmark.
There is no information yet as to what is wrong with him.

doesn't sound very good. at his age anything can happen. hope
he'll be fine.
with whom was he traveling?
it seems that since his and marge's friend passed away, he
spends a lot of time abroad.

Doesnt sound good that he was transported from a hospital in
Egypt to Denmark. If it wasnt serious theyd have let him being
treated aboard and when he was well enough to travel come back
to Denmark .

He declined fast over that last couple of years. Both physically
and mentally. At that age you never know.
