I don't understand The House of Lords anymore. I understood it |
|
until Tony Blair took an axe to it, but now there are 790 |
|
members but only 90+ of them are peers? Where did the rest of |
|
them come from? Are they elected? What does the group do? |
|
They get the fancy chamber and provide a spot for the queen's |
|
annual speech, but is that it? Surely not. ??? |

Well watched part one last night . There wasn�t anything new in |
|
it. One thing they kept saying about Tony Armstrong jones is |
|
that he was a commoner , he was but he was from those |
|
aristocratic circles . It wasn�t as if he was from a council |
|
estate . He knew how to act , to hold conversation, dress ect . |
|
Also which I�ve heard before , the royal family were |
|
disappointed with the lack of royals in attendance . Majority of |
|
houses sent no one as they felt it wasn�t a grand enough match. |

I've always thought she and Helen Kent are the two best dressed |
|
members of the extended royal family. Sarah Chatto's wedding |
|
dress was lovely...simple yet extremely stylish. |
