Oh boy, did it from memory. I am failing fast it seems, slap
wrist and word to self "could do better".
Do we have a 'for instance' of a John baptised person not
getting baptised again before receiving the holy Ghost? It is
a point I admit I have never noticed before.

case of anyone being baptized twice. Jesus was baptized by
John the Baptist and I'd say his was fine. There is no mention
that Jesus' disciples were baptized again; and while we read
that Jesus didn't baptize anyone but allowed his disciples to,
we aren't told what words they used. I think God looks at our
intention. If we want to be baptized and believe we were, then
we were. For me, it comes down to faith. We shouldn't doubt
the validity of our baptism. If that section of Acts is
accurate, I guess I disagree with Paul; but perhaps he should
tried laying on them without redoing the baptism.
Another mysterious detail is that the people at Ephesus are
called "disciples." Who were they disciples of? Had some
Christian gone there and told them about Jesus but not about the
Holy Spirit? Were they disciples of John who didn't know? We
aren't told. It's a mysterious passage to me since the Holy
Spirit is mentioned in the Old Testament. They must not have
known much about the Scriptures they had then.

One thing I changed just now is adding the ability to applaud or
smite posts.
Helen often submits encouraging posts but is saddened when
members might be encouraged by reading them but don't reply.
The facility to applaud them goes some way to addressing that
concern.
At least she now might notice that I read and appreciated
'nuggets'.
It's a pity 'applauds' don't run only with the specific post
which earned the applaud instead of accumulating up
collectively.
But I would be worried that members who do nothing wrong, yet do
not get applauds, might be discouraged from posting.
Perhaps you need to employ an 'applaud evener outer'. ;D

Haha! Good thought. That is one nice thing about Facebook ( for
those of us who like it!! LOL)
One can just click the " like" button rather than have to write
a reply...as you say, on the specific post.

I like the way the site is acquiring the little illustrative
board icons.
More like a 'Beano' and less like 'The Times', eh?
All we need now is a constraining post count. ;)
I found an eagle for Helen's board -- hope she likes it.
Sad to say it doesn't show up that often -- only when you hit
"Religious Discussions" and then her board shows up with its
threads. I can always change it if she finds something she
likes better -- but it's got to 60 x 60 pixels. I thought about
using a "wonky donkey" one for you, but I thought maybe you
wouldn't enjoy that as a permanent fixture. If you find an
image that's 60 x 60, let me know the url.
