1 Peter 2:15-17
KJV 15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may
put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: 16 As free, and not
using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the
servants of God. 17Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear
God. Honour the king.
WEB 15 For this is the will of God, that by well-doing you
should put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: 16 as free,
and not using your freedom for a cloak of wickedness, but as
bondservants of God. 17Honor all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear
God. Honor the king.
These are my thoughts, please share yours.
15 Doing Gods will should silence the flesh we have inside us,
doing good make it easier to not be foolish, sinful.
16 This is talking about truly following the Lord not using
grace to sin but using His grace a s liberty for us to further
serve Him even though we still sin. The covering of wickedness
is claiming Jesus without having a heart change and still being
bound to sin.
17 These are things we should and must do as Christians, we want
to honor Him botth by our time with Him and how we treat others.
