1 Peter 2:13-14 |

KJV 13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the |
|
Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; 14 Or unto |
|
governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment |
|
of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. |
|
WEB 13 Therefore subject yourselves to every ordinance of man |
|
for the Lord�s sake: whether to the king, as supreme; 14 or to |
|
governors, as sent by him for vengeance on evildoers and for |
|
praise to those who do well. |
|
These are my thoughts, please share yours. |
|
13 We should obey God first always but then the leaders He |
|
allows to be in charge, we should pray for bad leaders that |
|
don�t seek or know God but we should still obey them with the |
|
Lord leading us of course, we are not meant to sin because of |
|
wicked leaders and God doesn�t want us to and this verse is not |
|
saying we should be. |
|
14 We should give credit to our leaders for the good things they |
|
do and give them positive encouragement, help them do right |
|
rather then hurt them, if we have these chances. |
