A last thought before I'm off to France |

The proliferation, and rise and fall, of Christian forums |
|
mirrors that of the various Christian denominations. |
|
They fall due to the folly of their leaders or members, and new |
|
ones add to the proliferation due to the folly of those who |
|
leave to start, or support, new ones. |
|
And it is 'chicken or egg' as to which comes before the other. |
|
Jesus prayed that they might be one, even to the ultimate degree |
|
that He and the Father were, and are, 'one'. |
|
But it was Jesus who, during His earthly ministry, prophesied |
|
that it would not be so. (Matthew 13:1-52) |
|
We are but part of the whole creation that (until the end of |
|
this present age) has to groan and travail in pain, waiting for |
|
the final redemption. |
|
IMO it is not until then that God will wipe away all |
|
disappointment and tears and we will indeed, actually and |
|
finally, "be one, even as are Jesus and His Father". |
