How much water is there in the whole world?
By: Gaffer Date: June 12, 2015, 10:39 pm

If all the water in the atmosphere fell to earth as rain and if
all the ice above sea level melted, how much would it raise the
sea level? Is there enough water in the clouds and in the ice
to cover the tops of mountains?

what must also be considered is the fountains of the deep[earth]
and that if the mountains were levelled and also if the sea beds
were filled in and levelled the we would have a global flood -

The Bible says the mountains were covered by the waters. It
doesn't say they were leveled. They clearly weren't leveled,
not if Noah's ark came to rest later on the mountains of Ararat.
Your mind is inventing things.
Any ideas about how much water there is in the atmosphere and
how much it would raise the sea level if it all fell as rain?
How much is tied up in glaciers?
The amount of water in the ground is quite small, really -- less
than 2% of the earth's total water supply.

The bible didnt give a detailed topography of the whole earths
layout. Assuming anything just isnt so because it wasnt stated
in scripture is a failed point of clarity and logic. A
christian is to live by faith, versus trying to prove items of
faith held by others to be wrong.

Assuming hills and mountains were leveled when Genesis says they
were covered doesn't seem quite right to me. If they were
leveled, they would have ceased being hills and mountains.
Genesis 7:19 And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the
earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven,
were covered.
20 Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the
mountains were covered.

No one has any ideas about how much water there is in the whole
world? Maybe I should have asked something like how many
angels can sit on the point of a pin.
I fear I am boring people. I am horrified to think perhaps I'm
boring people. I think maybe I should go silent. If you need
me, you can always reach me via PM. If a member gets
outrageous, you can also always report a post, and I'll get a
notice. I can't guarantee I'll be here on a regular basis.

Start from nothing, Mike and then simply trust in
the God in whom you do believe to help you as He will. All of
the knowledge of men will tie into the things of God, or so I
believe, but let us not attempt to do the tying. We, in
ourselves, will err in the doing.
You are looking for something that only God is able to provide.
Remember all to the questions that God put to Job? He purposely
asked questions to which He knew Job did not have the answers.
Have you not done the same thing with 'water'?
Some may have an answer or be able to find answers in books or
on the Internet or in the ideas and calculations of men, but why
would any of those answers be the best answers? Do we trust some
men more than others?
Now you have decided to close your mouth because your thread did
not become the most popular. Shutting our mouth for a season can
be a good thing, but don't let be as Elijah running away and
hiding himself from what he did not like or was unable to
understand in his world.
All of us at times have felt sorry for ourselves because things
have not gone as we would like to believe that they should have
gone. Is this a good reason to say to yourself or to God or to
your friends: 'Stop the world, I want to get off!"
I am going quote a scripture here and please read it and with
you do have in you ask of God for help in applying it to
yourself:
"Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in
whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content." Phil 4:11
You really have been and are blessed, Mike. Don't run yourself
down because you think that things should have been or should be
better! Give God the glory always!

Absolutely. Sometimes suffering is not only
unnecessary, but caused by negligence and neglect. God is not
to blame. People are. Sometimes suffering is allowed to go on
way beyond what should ever be allowed. No one can or should be
"content" under such circumstances. We need to step up to the
plate and take action. We need to DO something about the
political and medical bull**** that goes on in this
country.

how much water is there?
in the beginning was God
and God created darkness
and in he darkness angels were created and dwell
a globe of water formed within the holy spirit
[[ the holy spirit was above the waters]]
light appeared
and the globe of water opened
some to form the firmament
this allowed "LAND" to be seen
from within the water
how much water is there ???
enough to have all the land within it !
