I posted this on a discussion board but due to lack of |
|
interest I have decided to put it on my blog instead. |
|
I've been reading something recently that suggests that after we |
|
are baptised in the Holy Spirit it is praying in tongues in our |
|
personal prayer time that enables us to receive and put into |
|
practice the nine spiritual gifts and discover which gifting has |
|
been given to us and where we 'fit' in the Body. Also that the |
|
amount of time we spend praying in tongues has a direct bearing |
|
to the effectiveness of these gifts and the way we use them for |
|
the building up of the Body of Christ. |
|
The book I' reading is by Dave Roberson and I'm finding it very |
|
interesting. What he has said so far makes sense to me and the |
|
lack of use of praying in tongues amongst Christians who are |
|
Spirit filled to me accounts for the fact that today church is |
|
so ineffective. |
