A LOVER ON THE LEFT -- spiderscare, crowwing, and lavenderpelt n
eeded

Spiderscare was right. If there was the scent of a GoldClanner
so close to their territory, then a patrol should be brought out
to investigate. Therefore, Spiderscare was waiting by the
entrance of camp, ready to leave. Though, he still needed the
rest of the patrol. [b]"Spiderscare, Crowwing, and Lavenderpelt,
we're going to check out the area Spiderscare found the scent of
that GoldClanner. I'd like to leave as soon as possible so we
can be there and back before it gets dark.

Crow-wing padded up at the summons, ears twitched
forward. GoldClan scent? Did Silentstripe really leave that
strong of a scent? If the large warrior was worried, he didn't
show it. He instead meowed a rough, "I'm ready," and glanced
around for the missing members of the patrol. He quietly begged
the ancestors his scent wasn't present either.

At hearing the leader's words nearby, Lavenderpelt rose from her
short resting place and walked over to Crow-wing and
Morningstar. The thought of encountering the strong scent left
behind both excited and worried the warrior. She supposed they
all could be getting worked up over nothing, but any sign of
GoldClan was worth checking out. Besides, she found it hard to
believe the deputy of the Clan would make a fuss of something
that wasn't a threat, even if she was young. She quietly stood
beside the hoarse warrior as they waited for Spiderscare to
arrive.

"O-Oh, sorry, guys." she lowered herself slightly when she
finally joined the group, tail swishing behind her. Morning
sickness had finally subsided, and she was much to busy
indulging herself with the various pieces of prey that stacked
themselves up in the pile. [b]"Alright, let's go."

That was everyone, then. Time to head off. "Spiderscare, you're
the one who found it, so you should be the one to lead us there.
After all, you know best where it is," Morningstar commented,
glancing over at Lavenderpelt and Crowwing for a minute to make
sure they were both alright with the arrangement.

"Oh, right, yes." the she-cat hummed, a little more bouncy and
on her feet than usual. She pulled ahead of the other three,
tail low as she took the lead. She didn't say much on the
journey to the stream, other than noting little things about the
scent that she remembered. Finally, they were at the border, and
the GoldClan scent was still there. [b]"Stagpaw had said that he
smelled this a few days before we took our walk. I think they
may be trying to push back our border, but I'm unsure."

Crow-wing followed quietly, looking around with an
alert manner. His gaze narrowed slightly as the approached where
the scent had been found. This was around where he and
Silentstripe had met and spoken, how long they had done so was
beyond him. His amber eyes glanced around before he spoke up.
"Maybe it's some nosy apprentices." He shrugged slightly.

Lavenderpelt gave a simple nod. If Morningstar was alright with
it, then of course she wouldn't be against it. As they began to
move forward, the long-legged she-cat followed the group with
her head held up until they drew close to their destination. She
sniffed the ground near the stream, the faint GoldClan scent
lingering around them. Their strong smell of minerals always
made her feel more tense and guarded and she glanced around
cautiously. She turned to Spiderscare when she spoke, then to
Crow-wing. He had a good point. That sort of thing wasn't
uncommon. But she found it strange that the scent was strong
enough to stay that long, as if someone was just..hanging out,
in this one spot. So she didn't rule out Spiderscare's
suggestion either. "Is this the only spot?" the warrior asked
curiously, looking around at the others.
