[private] no i've never done this before

Morilec paced his den. Every so often, he would glance at the
nests that occupied it. One big one, which would allow him to
sleep in his elephant body, and a small one, for his children.
Ah, he didn't like the thought of it. Three little brats that he
shared a room with. Sure, he could've scared a queen into taking
care of them. But, he lowkey wanted to keep them around. See how
they worked. So here he was, every so often glancing towards the
smaller nest. He had seen two of the three children leave, but
the third one had yet to move. His tail wagged as he waited for
said to get up and bounce away.

[I'm guessing this is Bravekit]
The cream furred kit was terrified of the outside, like usual,
not wanting to leave her best for fear of what dwelled out
there. Matter of fact, she still, no matter what, wasn't used to
being around her father. She had every right to; He was a shape
shifter, born as a wolf, and their first confrontation had been
with Morilec's dragon self.
So the frail little kit stayed put, hiding under a layer of the
nest she shared with her siblings.

[ u rite ]
The wolf let out a quiet huff, shifting back into his cat body
and trodding forward on silent paws. He came to a stop near the
small nest, poking a paw into it and looking for the last kid.
Maybe they died? He hoped not, despite it making life easier. He
spotted the light pelt and prodded it. [b]"Hey, kid. C'mon,
already. I can't wait for you all day."

She squeaked and wriggled away from his paw, trembling slightly
as she tried to hide in the moss and leaf bedding. Her large
eyes were shut tight as if sticking to the rule of 'I can't see
them, they can't see me' as she covered her muzzle with her
paws.

He rolled his eyes, sitting back. "Look, kid. We can do this the
easy way, and you can walk out with your big bad daddy and get
everyone to obey you. Or, we can do this the hard way, and I'll
change into a dragon and take you outside myself. Which will it
be?" he put on a smile, eyes still narrowed.

She let out a tiny whimper before managing to scramble out of
the nest choosing the first option. She would have preferred the
choice where she stayed inside all her life, but she'd have to
exit at some point. She didn't want to explore or play like
other kits, and she was scared stiff by nearly everything. Her
first encounter with grass was laughable towards bystanders. She
knew she heard Snakepaw laugh from somewhere in the shadows as
she tried to climb onto her siblings for protection.

"Good... uh, girl?" He squinted at her nametag. "Bravekit,
right." he nodded before walking ahead of her. He paused for a
moment, flicking his tail towards the child. "C'mon, kid. Grab
on, and stay close." Like that was an issue. He doubted she
could even think about straying away.

That didn't even have to be said. She quickly padded so she was
right below him. Obviously the best hiding spot she could think
off, no matter how embarrassing it would be for her father or
herself. The fact he could fall in crush her scared her, but not
as much as having another encounter with the outside.

"Ah fu-" He stumbled a bit, her sudden appearance under him
pushing him off of his balance. He glared at his little creature
before shifting back into his wolf body, giving him more room to
walk and giving her more space to hide. Well, without tripping
him, at least. "You hungry?" he asked, tail flicking.

Bravekit nodded, looking at the ground rather than her father.
Food sounded good. She looked like she needed some, being as
scrawny as she was.
