Hissingstar grinned at his camp, glad that he finally had it
back. Oh, his beautiful den. Oh, his great meeting hill. Oh, his
great fresh-kill pile-- wait. Hell, the rogues ate nearly
everything! Of course some cats are out there hunting but still!
Its so small... so... weak! The tom growled and looked around,
picking out Toothpaw and walking towards him.

Toothpaw was grooming himself, you know, like you do. The
apprentice stopped for a moment, hearing someone approaching and
turning his head. Hissingstar was heading right towards him. He
wasn't in trouble, right? He didn't have the clearest idea why
he would be, but important people never talked to him and that
was just what first popped into his head.

behind him. "We're going hunting today." his voice was plain,
with a touch of agitation. How could he let his Clan down this
much? Allowing them to be chased out is one thing, but letting
the food storage be this low? [b]"Heck. I might even make an
assessment out of this. How old are you, boy?"

Well, I guess he didn't really have a choice in the matter. Not
that he would say no to Hissingstar anyway. He had the feeling
that would end badly somehow. "Uh, okay," he answered, sitting
up a bit straighter. Assessment? Oh no. He was not sure how he
felt about that, being judged by leader himself and all. This
was going to go just great, wasn't it? "I- um, tens moons, sir,"
Sir? Why did he say that??

"Hmpf. Not old enough to be a warrior." he inspected the
apprentice. "Not buff enough, either. You look like a kit on
stilts." Hissingstar chuckled under his breath at his own
insult, then covered it up. "No worries. After this assessment,
you can fetch yourself a sparrow or something. Get some meat on
those scrawny bones of yours." he took a few steps towards the
camp's entrance, using his tail to beckon the apprentice.

He felt relieved and slightly offended at the same time. He
definitely thought he had gained some weight and muscle over his
months of training, but I guess compared to big macho here he
looked like a twig. And to be honest, he was shorter than both
of his siblings. "Yep, thanks," he muttered. Toothpaw hung his
head a bit as he followed after the leader, who seemed to be
enjoying himself and his crude humor. All the young tabby could
do was try to do the best he could to not trip over his paws
while Hissingstar walked all over him.

his breath, looking at the apprentice. He lashed his tail and
waited for a response.
