Flickeringstar, or now Flickeringlights, wandered the starry
expanse that was the afterlife. He had talked with the first
SerpentClan leader, Tikistar, about finding him a reincarnation.
But Tikistar had rejected him that privilege due to the fact he
had stripped the slave rank from females.
A heavy sigh escaped his maw as he settled at the Sight Pond. He
looked into the waters and saw Innocence and his children living
their daily lives. With a bit more depression. He then turned as
he saw a lion cub approach. It was a mortal, a living creature.
It didn't have stars in it's fur or a dead look in it's eye.
His eyes widened, then he smirked. This was the perfect form for
him to use. His mind pondered over reincarnation. He wouldn't be
able to remember this life - He would have to start anew. He
wouldn't know his children, his enemy, his wife.
A determined look found its way on to his face, and he gestured
the cub over. As the cub stopped before him, he took in a shaky
breath. "Your name is Flicker. You are a male. You will join
SerpentClan." He rumbled.
A dome of blinding white light formed around them as he chanted,
and he suddenly roared, "YOU ARE MY HOST." He reached forward
and touched his nose to the cub's forehead...
Flicker's eyes opened as he awoke at the SerpentClan border. He
had no recollection of anything but his name and gender.
"Hello...?"

Firework had been out hunting when he found the distinct scent
of a lion. The head made his way towards the border where he'd
caught the smell and saw the cub, just awoken. "Hello... you,"
he greeted the lion cub, not knowing his name.

A rush of fatherly love coursed through him, though he didn't
know why. This guy was older then him, and he had no idea who it
was. "Hello, Firework." He blurted out. He had the same Scottish
accent Flickeringstar had. "Oh, um... I'm here to join. My name
is Flicker."

The multi-colored cat blinked. How did Flicker know his name?
"Alright, then. If you want to join, then you can." He didn't
make kits, cubs, pups, etc. do anything to get into SerpentClan.
They were young, and would learn. "Follow me, I'll show you to
the camp."

Somehow he did. It was odd. "Erm, thanks, though." He then
studied Vani. "You hate me."

Firework narrowed his eyes. "Yeah, well, just in case," he
replied cautiously, turning and leading the cub back towards the
camp.

Frowning, he padded after the Head. Humph. He said he knew where
it was - Why couldn't he go by himself?

"Oh, a new member, I see?" Innocence greeted her son and the
newcomer, tail flicking slightly. "That's good. The Clan has
been feeling empty lately, anyways." She smiled gently to he
lion cub, falling in step with her leader. It was weird, being
older and larger than her leader, who was also her son. But,
that was how it was.
