Stream sat in her prisoners den, bored as hell. When would her
kidnapper be back? She wasn't even mad, just plain old bored.
She doubted anyone needed her in RainClan anyway. They had
Phoenixpaw. Everyone loved her. But after Stream was being a
negative butt they probably didn't like her anymore. Funny how
everyone else got to be sad, but she was expected to be happy
all the time. At least that was how she felt.

Petrichor had decided to visit FireClan. He didn't say he wanted
to join yet, because he wasn't sure. The tom-cat walked towards
the den the medic was in and mewed, "Yo, Flo." The sandy tom
hesitated before mewing, "I have something to tell you, and you
may hate me for not telling you when I first found out."

"What are you doing here?" the medic snapped. It hadn't been
meant to come out like that, but staying here for so long with
nothing to do had changed her. Without contact from other cats,
she wasn't used to interacting with them. "Why would I hate
you?" Her eyes narrowed suspiciously. Could it be that he took
part in the kidnapping? In that case, yes she did hate him.

tell them I'm here, alright?" Petrichor listened as she
continued and then took a deep breath. "Do you remember how
Phoenixfeather recently had her kittens?" asked the cat, head
tilted slightly.

"Yes," she she-cat mewed, picking her voice up from a mumble.
"You seemed interested in them. Did you wanna marry one or
something?" She made a cheesy winky face.

He just shook his head in exasperation. Petrichor continued,
"Like you said, I seemed interested in them. That's the reason
you might hate me for not telling you this sooner, Streamflow."
The cat hesitated before telling her, "The kits are mine. I'm
their father."

"Are you on crack?" the medic meowed. How stupid was this cat?
Emptypromises was their father. Not this guy. What next, would
he claim to be Eppy?

"No, I'm not. I'm Emptypromises." Just like that, her thoughts
were true. She probably thought he was crazy, so he proved it.
"I met you as an apprentice at the river. I was acting really
arrogant. I used to like Deliriadreams before I fell in love
with Pheonixfeather. I met her when she was Phoenixkit, when we
got into an argument since I didn't want a wound treated. I died
of an unknown sickness in the old, broken RainClan camp in my
old nest. I had been possessed by some cats for a short time
where I went crazy and tried to kill some people. My eyes turned
from green to blue then." It wasn't in chronological order, but
it was just random spouts of information. "Anything else I have
to say to prove it?"

"What." She would never have expected that. But now she believed
him. She felt a sudden urge to go hug him and held back painful
tears. "I thought you were gone," she mewed, unable to help the
sudden voice crack. Em-bar-ras-sing.

He looked at the ground before saying quietly, "I am." Petrichor
met her eyes and said to her, "I used to be him, but I changed.
I'm not the same as I was then."
