Transformation: Chapter 1 [WIP]

'I was um... different. My real name was Sara, but my hair is so
long, and if you stand in the right angle, it would look like I
have a very small tail. So I got my nickname, Tails. I lived in
Manhattan, so I pretty much walked everywhere. To school, to
other apartment building, wherever I needed to go. I lived in my
apartment with my older brother, Ross. He was 27. Enough about
me, here's my story.
I was on my way home from school, I walked alone, by backpack
slung over one shoulder. I approached my apartment building. As
I walked, I liked to think. Remember when I said I was...
different? That's because I was much less pretty than any other
person I ever knew, and I was made fun of a lot by other girls
for that. I usually wore a t-shirt and jeans, with the
occasional jacket. I wasn't fancy. Like today, a cool fall day.
Everywhere I looked, I probably saw a designer jacket or dress
or shoes or something.
I'm talking about me again, aren't I? Well, back to the current
time. My brother wasn't there, probably on his way home from
work. He worked at a clothing store a few blocks down, so he
shouldn't be too long on his way back. Like me, he walked
everywhere.
[WIP, I'll put up the rest later. You can post your opinion if
you really want to, because I need ideas for another story I
might post.]
