Sad to hear about the passing of former cricket umpire Jeff |
|
Evans at the age of 70. |
|
A well respected man on the circuit, i had the pleasure of |
|
chatting to him on many occasions, a lovely man. |
|
Remember seeing him watching and umpiring at Scarborough towards |
|
the end of his career, finally getting a game there where he |
|
lived for a time with a lady he met from the resort. |
|
For years we joked about him not getting a game close to home. |
