Lee Betts and Steve Meredith have swapped AVAR appointments in
midweek. Betts now at Forest, Meredith at Brentford

I hope Michael Oliver is someone who likes to keep busy! After
all the recent controversy one might think he is entitled to a
few days off, so I hope these appointments are not unwelcome to
him. Of course, this is his job and the PGMOL can appoint him
however they see fit, I just hope they are using their
discretion lightly.
I see Craig Pawson is VAR on Friday, refereeing in London on
Saturday, then VAR again on Tuesday and Wednesday. From memory
Mr. Pawson doesn't reside near London, in a case like this will
he stay in a hotel on Friday and then again on Tuesday night? I
don't keep a close eye on VAR appointments but this just struck
me as a potentially a lot of travel.

Plus dont forget to add Pawson is at Villa park tomorrow night
too.
Royalty at Villa Park on Sat followed by Junior royalty Tue at
Palace, the latter with Robinsons assistants.
Jones will have a week to get his Orange shirt washed.
Good games for Gillett

Looks like orange tomorrow at Fulham! 👎🤬
Its black, and the Rob Jones curse continues!

Isnt Meredith a Forest fan? If so that will be why? Why was he
originally appointed?

Good penalty decision by MO at Brighton (sorry bmb) waited with
bated breath to see what VAR Donohue was going to do

Personally, I dont entirely agree with this. For me, Joao Pedro
just knocks it far past Kepa and instead of running in the
direction where the ball was going, he ran straight towards the
keeper. How that can be classed as a foul from Kepa I dont
know. The forward momentum from Pedro and then from Kepa means
that I see it as a coming together.
However, saying this, I think the onfield ref - Oliver in this
case - will always give the penalty, and I think the VAR -
Donohue - wont ever suggest a review. So while the decision is
supportable, I personally dont think its a penalty because I
dont actually think Kepa is committing an offence

Disagree with this,
Personally, keepers always take a risk coming out, if striker
taps it past them, 99 times out of 100 theyre is gonna be a
collision and therefore a penalty

No I fully agree with this. We all know from decisions weve
seen this season that if a keeper doesnt touch the ball and
only barely touches the attacker, it will result in a penalty.
What I dont like is how many strikers attempt to initiate any
sort of contact with the keeper. Jota tried that against Wolves
the other week. Thats what annoys me is when attackers get
rewarded for initiating contact for free kicks and penalties.
