Port Vale fans unhappy with Thomas Kirks handling of their game
v Salford. The penalty awarded to the visitors looked soft, but
not wrong, wish wed had him for the Fleetwood game purely on
that criteria. Then a red card after the final whistle for
Curtis, apparently grabbing a Salford player by the throat. The
footage doesnt help, suggestion it was a reaction to something
said/done by the opponent. Perhaps Mr Kirk only saw the end of
the incident, as youd expect some sanction for the initiator if
that account is correct.
Also Swindon v Chesterfield Charles Breakspear only showing a
YC, when Swindons Smith seems to fling a Chesterfield player to
the ground.

And Holloway sent off, presumably for moaning at the yellow card
decision?!

Wow. That was a very hostile atmosphere at Tranmere, Boz! I
decided to put the game on Sky sports plus when I saw 8 mins
added, and the constant booing at the end towards the management
wasnt good. Something needs to change otherwise youre in the
mud

That's a prescient observation Ryan, given Adkins has now gone.
Could well be our last FL home game in a while against Crewe at
the end of April.
I was working so limited to the audio commentary of the game,
which sounded grim. Only seen brief match highlights so far, but
my sources at the game thought Richard Eley had a reasonable
game.

I wonder how Tranmere's No 1 fan, Mike Dean, is taking it. Could
he be in line to take over at Prenton Park?
😊
Ryan - I've only just seen the Crewe highlights from last
Saturday and yes, the foul leading to the penalty award looked
suspiciously outside the penatly area.

Glad Richard seemed to have a better game, hopefully it was just
a really bad day Saturday! I do have my fingers crossed for
Tranmere, enjoyed my visit a few years ago and been hoping to
get back but dates havent worked. Good fans and good people and
for selfish reasons, even though its a long way from Essex,
its a fair bit closer than Carlisle or Morecambe!

See Port Vale's Ronan Curtis was successful in overturning the
Red Card, awarded by Tom Kirk last weekend, an incident which I
mentioned earlier in this thread.

This, as one expects of Boz, is a perfectly sensible post. The
Dumb rating is totally inadvertent - and should be taken as
applying to this old bloke with dodgy fingers. As I have
indicated in the past, I would never knowingly use the Dumb
emoji and only in extreme cases would I use Dislike. If I appear
to do so, please ignore me.

Which I think is interesting, because it doesnt get picked up
on camera what happened. Unless Port Vale had another angle we
havent seen, why was it overturned?

I agree. There was a clip of the full incident from start to
finish on the Port Vale website, but I didn't think that showed
a clear error was made by the referee, although my impression
was Mr Kirk didn't see the whole incident or some sanction would
have been taken against the initiator as well as the red for the
reaction.
