A Taylor - Spain v Germany

Not the best of starts for Anthony Taylor as he misses a clear
yellow for Kross. Also allows three Spanish players show dissent
and takes no action.

Spain v Germany - A Taylor

Tough opening 7 minutes. Looks like Germany going to get stuck
in a make it hard for Spain, so Taylor needs to be strong here,
and there will be lots of exaggeration and play acting from both
sides
For me a yellow already missed for kroos on 4 minutes and he has
had 2 fouls already.

Rudiger's foul was less reckless than Kroos'. I think Taylor
realized he made a mistake with the Kroos no card decision
(boosted by Pedri's injury sub) and wanted to make up for it by
booking Rudiger.

Very inconsistent performance from Anthony Taylor in the first
half in my opinion.

Kroos finally got his caution. Had been persistent before the
pull back.

Thats a penalty for me and Stuart Attwell should be looking for
a OFR.

I make that 15 yellow cards and 1 red for Taylor. He made the
first big decision in this game wrong and it snowballed from
there. Chances of him even being 4O for the final are absolutely
zero.

A very difficult game to referee well and I don't think it was
Anthony Taylor's finest hour though it would have taken a
referee absolutely on the top of their game to deal with all
that. I guess that was one of the most challenging European
matches and I felt the referee's authority drained somewhat.

Agree with above but the behaviour of the players at times was
embarrassing. Actually think Taylor handled it pretty well. A
couple of cautions early on I disagree with and Kroos and Rodri
should have been booked earlier but quite a solid effort.
agree we might not see him again though
