Danny has some company on the naughty step! That shirt is the
most violently y*llow one we've ever had!
Good early YC to start with.

Commentary on ITV in the UK is bafflingly bad - even by our
fairly poor standards. Both cautions utterly unavoidable for the
officials.

A lot of people saying a second YC should also been issued to
the Turkey player for reckless use of arm. I disagree. I felt he
did not extend his arm outward from his body anymore than
required to jump. Moreover, the fouled player moved more into
him than the other way around. It would have been easy for
Kovacs to level things up with a second YC, again showed his
strength by not issuing it.
A very strong referee, I hope UEFA equally have the guts to back
his performance.

Excellent strong handling of dissent from the bench. It is such
a pleasure to watch a referee who does his job.

I'm afraid not even bmb could defend that last decision with the
Czechia no goal. I would guess that's his ticket home booked.

Possibly the foul may have been supportable but he really should
have waited for VAR to review. Tricky though as in relative
terms the foul was quite far out and not clear when he blew it
would develop like that.
Good handling again of the benches again there.

14 yellow cards (at present) means poor game management in my
view...

Terrible scenes at the end with a mass brawl and another red
card brandished.
More punishment for both sides when UEFA charge them both for
failure to control players.

Cant really blame Kovacs as uefa clearly say no delayed whistle
for defensive free kicks.hardest game of euros by far must be
nearly 20cards.all boiled over at end.

I've said this before, Kovacs never looks like he has the game
fully under control. Not suggesting it wasn't a difficult game,
but I think the more experienced FIFA referees would have
handled that game very differently and it wouldn't have ended
that way.

18 yellows and 2 reds from Kovacs that must be a new Euros
record?
