F TELLO - Scotland v Hungary

Lets hope the Hungarian forward Barnabas Varga is going to be
ok after that terrible collision with Angus Gunn.
Tello has done well, and the players certainly respect his
authority figure that he portrays.

Wishing Varga well with what was a horrific incident on field.

Has he swallowed his whistle?
Seems to love blowing it every 20 seconds

I hope for his sake that Armstrong was offside there otherwise
that is a stonewall pen missed by var.

Oh dear, looks like a clear penalty for a challenge on Armstrong
goes unpunished, and I think that may well be the end of
Hernandez as VAR at the Euros for at least not recommending a
review for that challenge if it wasnt offside.
It has to be a penalty, no question.

Only "saving" grace for VAR is the Scottish players arm goes
across the defender, which 'may' have put doubt in his mind.
In my mind a big mistake

I think Armstrong looks like he's slowed down to invite the
contact,

Its probably a penalty but certainly not a stonewaller and the
attacker has definitely played for it.
This has been an unbelievably difficult game to referee for
numerous reasons, hes generally done well.

Which he can do as he is in control of the ball
Knee to calf, tripping offence
Now Hungary have scored

I agree, he slows down and then moves towards the defender to
initiate the contact. Not a penalty for me.
