17. About whom I once penned a daft wee verse.

I don't remember it, but I'm sure you're right, you have been so
far.

Well done everyone so far. I enjoyed reading the answers from
the balcony of my country pile (caravan). More tomorrow!

My apologies to AT for inadvertently giving him a dumb rating. I
must stop using my phone for this site.

41 though, is a problem. I'm not sure whether Worrall is too
independent to count as a suburb. And what about the key? The
musical key favoured for the carol singing at the Blue Ball?
Unlikely. I shall look on the Brightside and keep thinking.

12 Jeff winter?
Yes of course Charlieboy! I had foolishly been thinking of David
Allison.
I'll give you and Charlieboy a mark for Winter. I had been
thinking of Alice in (Allison) Wonderland
Not so foolishly after all, then. But it is always better to
think of David Allison rather than Jeff Winter.

it was over 4 years ago, and not memorable, so you can be
forgiven.
To remind you, here it is
One problem that I've long found tough
Is knowing how to say "John Hough."
That seemed the best to me, although
Some others may prefer "John Hough."
Then one day, by an Irish Lough,
I wondered "Could it be 'John Hough?'"
A songbird tweeted from a bough
That really he was called "John Hough."
My friend remarked, with discreet cough,
That really it should be "John Hough."
But having thought the whole thing through
I'm sure most fans just asked "John Hough?"
To which you amusingly, if none too helpfully, posted "I think
it's Hough."

For 32 my guess would be George Tyson, with J. Cross of
Accrington in reserve if not.

1. I suspect Specsavers must do hearing tests now, but whether
they could have helped Dr Spooner with his problem is open to
question. Is Coventry relevant?

I believe we need to wait for AT 's response before treating the
above list as gospel.
