| Question 2 | |
| By: tmstanhope Date: April 1, 2020, 10:31 am | |
| --------------------------------------------------------- | |
| In the previous verses in chapter 12, Paul explained the | |
| importance of humility as we serve each other in the body of | |
| Christ. He now gives a series of commands that define the daily | |
| life of the believer. The first is to genuinely love others. Who | |
| is the source of love, and how are we filled with love? See 1 | |
| John 4:16; Romans 5:5. | |

| God is the source of love. | |
| To abide= to remain stable or fixed in a state | |
| When we remain fixed on Jesus, we are filled with his love. | |
| We abide in love through the Holy Spirit (verse 13) So that | |
| means for me that if I want to be filled with his love, I must | |
| be filled with the Holy Spirit on a daily basis. Everyday I need | |
| a fresh infilling so that I can in turn love others the way I | |
| need to. | |
