Gpf tanks cannot be put to a safe working location near enemy
fully upgraded flaks.
If the flaks are not fully upgraded then it is safe to put Gpfs
to a safe place and they will work.
Example of a safe locations behind an Air base.

Gpf tank is affordable to most players on their home base map
but on non-home maps even 50 bases don't produce enough free
steel to buy them. Therefore most times multimap players produce
free Gpfs on their home base map and send via highways to other
maps.
If you have only 1 base on a map then it can make 65m steel for
30 gold for 15h and buy later 3 sets of Gpfs there and send Gpfs
to needed maps. The price 20m steel for 1 set is relatively high
compared to 1 set of Wespes for example but cheaper than Brums
40m per set.
It is handy to have storage/garage maps with ca 6 bases that can
store ca 10 sets of Gpfs. If your Gpfs die on an action map then
you bring from the storage map new ones and later try to produce
new Gpfs for the storage map.
1 base map has 1500 military points but 2 sets of Gpfs take in
total ca 1520 points and show a warning message. The solution is
to remove 1 tank from the 19 tanks set so the map had 1 full set
plus 18 tanks set. Removing 1 tank from a set requires 2 sets
and you just select a full 19 tank set and clicks on another set
and that extracts 1 tank from the source set and you can destroy
that 1 tank.
1 skill that everyone can learn is Gpf movement. It is easy to
learn and clear to teach to everyone.
Different base types have different challenges for Gpfs+breda
work. The unuversal best suggestion is to try to position Gpfs
behind the target base so that Bredas would have many ways to
access the flaks in front of the base. But sometimes it is not
possible to position behind bases. In that case you position on
other 3 sides.
Ship bases only rational advantage is that it is difficult for
Bredas to access them because river obstructs. On a vertical
river you may have only 1 narrow way for bredas to get close to
flaks and Gpfs can't position too many tanks either.
On air bases Gpfs must almost touch the top back edge of the air
base that may break the gpf line.
Some bases have a rock close to the base back edge so your Gpfs
have a narrow corridor to move in.
Train bases are like river bases accessible for bredas only from
2 sides and Gpfs should be behind the train base.
On L2 bases it is good to use bombers as fodder for Gpfs. The
best fodder for Gpfs are vehicles that enable Gpfs to work
longer time. On L3 it is Brums, on L2 it can be T28 tank with a
high armor and other high armor vehicles. Wespes have smaller
set size than Bredas and on 20-30 flaks bases Wespes are a worst
choice than Bredas because Wespes die as fast as Bredas there
and that doesn't let Gpfs to work much time.
Theoretically it should be possible to have Gpf double lines on
3 sides of a base: 2 lines in left, 2 in right, 2 in north and
bredas go in from the south area. Handling such 3 double lines
requires very fast work with mouse and the lines must fit on the
screen so you can select them with a mouse and not with the
Select button on the menu.
The main skill is to move sets as 1 line. 2nd skill is to park
as close to the enemy base as possible, usually on the shadow
line. 3rd skill is to do a minimal travelling distance in pull
in-out movement. A skill to quickly make a line. A skill to pull
out in the last second. A skill to move predictive way to
minimaluze out time, it means you start to go in already earlier
than it is safe.

On safe old maps where are L2 bases you can safely position 1
set of Gpfs or more sets close to the L2 enemy base. And alleies
can send bombers as a fodder in after every few hours making
Gpfs automatically shoot.
This activity promotes team work / cooperation feeling inside a
clan.
You can just do it without Gpfs by asking alleies all to bring 1
bomber close to it, and eventually kill the offline base, and
heal meanwhile.
But 1 set of Gpfs speeds up the process.
Movinh Gpfs is probably the most interesting skill to learn,
easily teachable as well.
You use normally 8 sets of Gpfs and it doesn't benefit to have
more sets, plus for 10 sets the corner ones may not shoot.
Stacking with good overlap and close to the alley flaks is
achieved with the stop key. You click more far where you need
and then when a good overlapped position happens you oress the
stop key.
Freesteel homemap Gpfs are possible earlier than freesteel
Brums.
General rule is that you never transport Gpfs over highwayes
because they are so slow.
You can keep ca 8 sets in front of 2-3 bases as a safe method.
Obviously it is pointless to guard them too much because Willies
can still kill them easily infront of the bases.
It doesn't benefit much if you use all additional weapons like
trains, brums, bombers. You still have 2-3% damage per second.
The damage per second formula keeps it at 2% all the time. Also
note that adding any nonflak tanks to the formula like Willies
or Mauls doesn't change the 2% either.
If you play on phone you can do a teamwork by partipiating with
only 1 set of Gpfs. Because the phone doesn't have a stop key.
If you have 2 accounts you can place other account helicopters
above the Gpfs which has a different account. Those guard Gpfs
and don't get selected when you select Gpfs.
You can place T34 very close behind Gpfs and those hint you
whete to press the stop key when moving Gpfs.
You can think of a 1 set of Gpfs equal to 1 set of Brums in
firepower, or 15% stronger than Brum, roughly.
Gpfs and flak helicopters do the same inout movement.
The damage formula counts sets, not tanks, so bigger sets are
more effective. For example expensive Sp6 has only 6 units in a
set compared to Gpfs and Brums and is not effective for the
formula.
The game could add a feature that sets that survive an attack
would become 2x stronger, like a Legendary units.
Not 100% sure but seems like more efficent for the formula is
when Bredas don't shoot at all and stay just in flaks range
while Gpfs keep the damage at 2%.
Roughly an average clan of 100 members have 3 players from that
100 who know how to use Gpfs, and roughly 1% know how to stack
trains.
Broken half set of Gpfs should stay as the 1st or 8th on the Gpf
line to not mess up the line.
It is inefficent to overguard Gpfs with plenty of T34s etc. 3
sets of t34 should be optimal.
When attacking a 30 flaks base then Gpfs can fire only very
short time during first flaks destroying.
Entertaining is an action when the target is online during the
attack and sends some units to attack Gpfs. But again, that is
entertaining only few times, after that even that becomes
boring.
It is irrelevant to kniw if a Gpf tank can win a duel agaunst a
1 Wespe etc. Doesn't matter, is irrelevant kniwledge.
