Gamsrallye 18/19 July 2015

For those who are still interested to join us - maybe after the
opheers or swiss meeting.
Gamsrallye will take place 18/19 of July 2015
We`ll meet at 9:30 in St. Gilgen am Wolfgangsee at the shipping
peer in the center of the village
https://www.google.at/search?q=St.+Gilgen&newwindow=1&rlz=1C2KMZB_enAT570AT570&…
and start the round journey at 10:30 - we will drive the whole
day around the mountains of famous Salzakmmergut :
http://wolfgangsee.salzkammergut.at/en/home.html#oben
we will do some picknick and in the evening well arrive at the
Illingeralm at about 1300m above seelavel
https://www.google.at/search?q=illingerbergalm&newwindow=1&rlz=1C2KMZB_enAT570A…
/> . There well get served traditional porkpie, beer, wine
:toothless: and stay over night in our cars or tents. In the
morning well get breakfast at the Alm - afterwards we go down
into an off road area where we can test our skills and do a
little trailing with open end. The whole event will cost about
25,- to 30,- exkl. personal expenses (food and drinks) at the
Alm. The whole area is very beautyful, if you want to stay
longer there a many campsides or private Pensions to stay for a
few days longer (look at salzkammergut.at!) I am looking forward
to see you and your companions, regards, Flo

I've said this before and I think it's worth repeating - Flo's
event is spectacular and takes you along roads/lanes that you
would otherwise be unable to drive on. The company of other LR
owners from Germany and Austria felt like a family gathering and
we were made very welcome.
The scenery is hard to beat and if you're looking for an
easy-going Series-friendly event, this one is worth a short.
Take ample supply of fuel - we should be there in our Forward
Control, so all petrol stations between CZ and St. Gilgen might
run dry :o ;D

appearance. ;D

yeah i know..
The engine is in one piece again -hope it stays like that for a
couple of months now. all i need to do is sort out brakes -
change to flexis and bleed the system...
is there anyone doing the swiss meet as well so that we can tag
along? 2.25 here :S
joe
PS last day i spoke about trip to a local guy not into
landrovers and i told him it is a nice experience to drive out
there and share a beer with some like minded people. his look on
his face was ??? "that's quite an expensive way of sharing a
beer!!"

Im looking forward to see you guys and be sure its an honour
for us that you do the journey to little Austria
but be aware the countryside alone is worth the journey, meeting
likeminded people and some nice series LR there, is a plus and
thats why we should drink a few bottles and celebrate this
scarce occasion in an appropriate way :toothless:

The Maltese Nut is lost somewhere in Aosta!!
going for pick up body is >Htlr< averaging 80 to 93 km/hr only
problem is HOT and Whining O/D had to make do with fixing the 13
inch kenlowe fan under the middle seat to blow some air on it.
i think i should have been sunbathing at
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ramla_Bay
and not scaring people
at motorway stops :(
