	The Nikara Dragons let down everyone in their first defeat since
	their new manager took over with a 0-1 loss to Robbaillie
	Escocia. In fairness the Dragons opponents are currently sat at
	the top of the Second Division with 32 points from 15 games so
	very little was expected from Nikara's loyal fanbase, however
	the game still felt disappointing.
	The game started brightly enough for Nikara and they thought
	they had taken the lead in the 14th minute when their newest
	academy graduate, Georgie Rutter, found the net from a stunning
	pass from Tyrod Taylor, however the goal was inexplicably
	disallowed due to an alleged handball. Totally nonsense but VAR
	saw nothing proving its pointless technology.
	The Dragons went behind not long after when Bjelica found the
	net in the 29th minute. The manager was disappointed to concede
	to a defender, even one as good as Bjelica, and let his team
	know about it from the touchline.
	In the final moments of the first half Nikara thought they had a
	way back in when ironically named Goodlad (obviously a thug) was
	sent off for a second, fully deserved, yellow card on 44
	minutes. The follow was deliberate and probably should come with
	a lengthy ban, though this would be somewhat against league
	protocol. Sadly the Dragons fell apart after the red card and
	created very little in what was ultimately a disappointing
	second half.
	In the end possession was dominated by the Escocia's with 2
	thirds of the ball, though shots on goal was even at 8.
	Robbailie were twice as accurate and ultimately got the win they
	deserved.
	In the post match interview the Dragons manager said:
	"in hindsight it probably was a mistake to go to Colombia with
	the lads over Christmas instead of preparing for the game. In
	all honesty I've never found preparing for a game very helpful
	as it tends to make me say weird stuff to the players but maybe
	I'll need to have a re-think."
	When pressed on rumours the club had put some of their top
	players on the market he was non committal but did say the club
	were looking to rebuild from top to bottom and that there might
	be casualties along the way.

	Overview
	The Dolphins delivered an emphatic victory against in form
	Helsinki, running out deserved 4 - 1 winners against the
	Hellhounds who were under par on the night. Whilst the first
	half was even in terms of goals, Kingfisher ran away with it in
	the second half thanks to a brace from Harvey Adkins.
	The result sees Helsinki fall out of the automatic promotion
	places with Escocia moving back top following Cockrells' defeat
	and the Eagles moving back about Hellsinki. The Dolphins now sit
	3 points behind Helsinki with Coventry a further 3 points back.
	How they lined up
	Kingfisher went with 4 at the back plus a defensive midfielder,
	leaving a 3 man midfield and two up top. They stuck with their
	favoured passing tactic. Helsinki went for all out attacking but
	balanced that with 3 in defence and 3 defensive midfielders but
	it didn't seem to pan out as expected.
	Match action
	Kingfisher drew first blood in the 4th minute with Pohl nodding
	in from a corner. In an open start to the game both teams had
	chances before Helsinki got back on level terms through
	Shynarenko in the 14th minute after good work by DeDavis Roy.
	The game ebbed and flowed for the remainder of the first half
	with Kingfisher edging it.
	A double goal salvo early in the second half put Kingfisher on
	top. Adkins got his first with a well taken goal before Monlulo
	doubled the lead just 100 seconds later. 3 - 1 to Kingfisher. It
	was only two mins after that that Adkins scored again and
	wrapped up the points at the hour mark.
	Helsinki rang the changes and huffed and puffed but couldn't
	find a way past their opponents who comfortably saw out the
	game.
	Manager's comment
	Tough night at the end of a tough week for the club. We've made
	some new signings and it looks like it might take a bit of time
	for them to gel. We need to figure out our best formation and
	best tactics with this new squad. We certainly aren't getting
	the best out of anyone at the moment and Laszlo Kiss has
	disappeared off the map. We expect much much more from an 18
	rated forward. 4 shots and no goals once again from him tonight.
	Painful. We've got midweek off next week so we'll come back
	ready to take on the Eagles next time out.
	Man of the match
	Slim pickings this week but here are the contenders:
	1) Craig Cluster's 2 tackles, 3 key passes and 3 shots
	2) Shynkarenko's 2 tackles and 1 goal
	3) DeDavis Roy's 1 tackle, 1 assist and 2 shots
	With 40% of the vote the award went to Craig Cluster for an
	assured performance despite his young age. Well done to Craig.

	well what an epic game for the fans but not for me as we twice
	blew a goal lead then the away side overpowered us to go 4 2 up
	but we managed to salvage a draw with 2 goals in last 10 mins
	and the leveller with the last kick of the game from moran if we
	didnt have the king cantona i dont know were we would be but
	this is a very poor performance from my team scoring 4 goals at
	home and still not winning poor we have to do better if i
	actually want to win anything as the team at the top pull
	further away from us will i do what i normally do and blow
	everything again

	Golden Eagles FC's promotion hopes got a major boost after
	beating Thames Ironworks 4-0, while Cockney Cockrells lost to
	Highland Rangers and Helsinki Hellhounds got thrashed by
	Kingfisher Dolphins. The win sees Eagles move up to 3rd, 1 point

	up to top with a narrow win over Nikara Dragons. Eagles totally
	out played Ironworks, who couldn't even manage a shot on goal.
	There was early drama in the opening 9 minutes, as D Payet took
	a swing at Pavel Chernyshev. He missed, but the ref didn't, as
	he gave the Frenchman his marching orders. It didn't take long
	for Eagles to capitalise on the numbers advantage, Chernyshev
	played Milos Potkozarač through and the young Serb scored a
	peach of a goal after rounding the keeper. Chernyshev doubled
	the home side's lead a minute later after sublime cross from
	Dar�o Bourrin.
	Captain Artem Poltorak made it 3-0 in the 22 minute with a
	thunderbolt shot after Rodrigo Des�bato's initial shot rebounded
	off a defender. With being 3 goals up, Eagles switched to a more
	defensive setup and snuffed out anything that came into the
	final 3rd.
	The game stayed at 3-0 right until the dying moments, as
	Poltorak scored his 2md of the game from Alessio Kovacic's cross
	to make it 4-0. The Eagles captain also picked up the man of the
	match award with 3 key tackles, a key pass, 4 shots and 2 goals.
	Great defensive and attacking performance from the Ukrainian.
	"This is just what we needed after mid-week's off-par
	performance, we were solid at the back Artem and Taavi didn't
	let a single thing get down the wings. Dar�o and Min commanded
	the middle with support from Rodrigo, while Pavel and Milos were
	great up front."

	Dave Rosewell's first game as caretaker for United 1908 ended in
	a hard though 0-0 draw against Eastern Whirlwinds. Both team had
	7 shots on target, R. Arakishvili and B. Ivakhiv both had great
	chances for United, while Kilo Granitt had a couple of good
	opportunities himself. However, both keepers were having none of
	it, A. Schetynsky and L. Van Angel were imperious between the
	sticks.
	The only down side to the game for United, was an injury to B.
	Ivakhiv who had to be subbed off after only 45 minutes. It
	looked liked a he pulled something, thankfully he will only be
	out for a week or so. Also Ioane Gordeli picked up a 3rd yellow
	in a row and will now miss next week's league match against AFC
	Coventry.
	B. Kechakmadze picked up the man of the match award with a great
	performance, the 21 year old certainly is a rising star.
	Meanwhile, caretaker manager Dave Rosewell commented "We can be
	quite happy with the result, getting a point and clean sheet
	away from home is just what we needed. We are also relieved that
	B. Ivakhiv's injury isn't as bad as we first feared."

	Highland Rangers 2 - 0 Cockney Cockerels
	Well it has finally happened and the Highland Rangers fans have
	there first league win of the season to celebrate as the beat
	Cockney Cockerels 2-0 at home. This was not the fixture that
	they would have expected to get this win.
	Goals from Guyan_Louvre (47), Jay_Jay_Summs (59) was enough to
	get the home team the win. They did have to survive an early
	penalty which was saved by Zander and that seemed to lift the
	whole team. From that point on Highland and were the best team
	they had more possession and attempts on goal. The Cockerels
	seem a little shell shocked by the penalty miss and never really
	hit the stride for the rest of the game.
	Manager white was happy with the teams performance and said that
	he hope this was the start of a better end to the season. He
	also said that the younger players are starting to make a
	difference to the team and the strikers are at least starting to
	get more shoots on target which can only be a good thing. He is
	also happy that for this weekends game he will have a full squad
	to pick from. He was asked if he would make any changes or give
	the same players another go and try to get consecutive wins. He
	said he will have to see how the returning player preform in
	this week training sessions.

	Sarnians 2-0 Darlington All Stars
	This was a pleasantly surprising regulation home win, and a
	clean sheet to boot!
	17 year Guil_Esteboso playing out of his skin was the highlight.
	The young Argentine scored 1, set up
	Another for compatriot Minerva and was on the ball constantly
	during the match.
	His first man of the match award was well deserved and clearly
	won�t be his last!
