Helsinki 2 - 3 Nerrad
Nerrad bested Helsinki for the second time this season in this
match up. Nerrad countered Helsinki from the start and it paid
off. An early goal for Nerrad coupled with an injury to star man
Shephard who was bizarely replaced by Di Canio despite being the
weakest of 3 MFs on the bench meant an uplhill struggle. They
briefly levelled through Warwick who is having an excellent
season but saw a quick fire double after half time put the game
out of reach. Harris Jones grabbed a consolation but it couldn't
put any real gloss on the performance. They'll be hoping for
better in the x box next time out.
Flyboys 4 - 3 Cartagena
Even game, but Flyboys got the win thanks to a credible come
back against Cartagena. After conceding early, Cartagena came
back strong to lead 3 - 1 on 53 mins with goals from Kamara,
Wanchope and Stroud putting them in command. However Flyboys
rallied to get two quick goals and then found a winner late on
as Cartagena tired.
Real Foxes 5 - 4 Acorns
A rare exciting game for Acorns with 31 shots producing 9 goals.
Foxes deserved this result though and Acorns will go back to cup
action hoping to somehow cause an upset against Eagles.
