I picked up a another Bing at a pretty good price. I didn't
need to do much to this little engine and going to pretty much
leave it as is.
1927~1931 Model steam engines with steel-blue patinated brass
boiler (made of drawn tubes) and fixed forward- and
reverse-operating steam cylinders, Nickel-plated fittings,
mounted on a solid, painted iron base. Height 33cm / 13 Inches

Those are always nice ones to have on the shelf .... and they
don't take up very much space, so you can have several!!! ;c)

I changed out my gasket & doubled up Weeden seals for some
O-Rings I got off Amazon today. They are 3mmx10mmx3.5mm Nitrile
Rubber O-Rings. I also bought 4mmx10mmx3.5mm but 4mm ID was too
big and leaked as soon as I put water into the tank. I also
meant to get Fluorine, since it has a higher heat tolerance but
the Nitrile appear to be doing well after two steam tests.
I have a spare Bing sight glass that came off a 10/120, its
glass OD measures out to be 4mm and this candlestick measures
out at 3.5mm. I do like the fit on my spare a lot better but
these are doing just fine on the 3.5mm sight glass on this
candlestick. Though if any if these Bing Sight Glass' come
under a 3.5 OD then they would likely leak.
Now I can put my Weeden seals back into the parts drawer!
