| Chuff Pots and water tanks | |

| As I am building out a plant with a pm research horizontal | |
| boiler, I am looking for options regarding chuff Pots and water | |
| tanks. Would like them to match the general look of the boiler, | |
| so probably black and riveted. There doesn't seem to be much | |
| offering for these components so I am considering soldering and | |
| riveting my own. I tend to think myself pretty handy when | |
| machining, but for the tank end caps I would like to have spun | |
| or pressed to give it a nice rounded appearance to that of | |
| DemonOZ's excellent work. I feel fairly confident I can print | |
| or machine dies from alum. To press/hammer/spin these end caps, | |
| but would prefer to buy something off the shelf haha! Also with | |
| how expensive large diameter copper/brass pipe can be, wondering | |
| if anyone knows a good place to find a chunk without buying a | |
| 10' tube! Looking for at least 2.5" diameter for the chuff tank | |
| and probably at least 3" for the water tank, but will probably | |
| end up making both from the same. Would love to see any examples | |
| that people particularly like or have made themselves. Trying to | |
| get inspired a bit more!! | |

| Several other members have made some really nice water towers | |
| also. I find "Duk-it copper canisters" (Ebay) to be just right | |
| for this type of application, they are generally a drawn single | |
| piece copper canister in many different sizes. | |

| Wow those water towers are works of art! Have any pictures of | |
| how you built them? The duk it tanks are just perfect! I'll | |
| probably just toss some rivets on it and it will certainly fit | |
| the bill! Thanks for that! Any thoughts on chuff Pots? | |
