Global Power-Up[/font] |

[font=verdana]Surprising only begins to describe our first |
|
Global Power-Up on the first anniversary of our new forum. I |
|
would have been pleased with 6 or 7 exhibitors participating in |
|
our first event of this type. I would have been thrilled to have |
|
10-12 participants especially since many of you did not even |
|
know about this event until just 1 week in advance. [/font] |
|
[font=english157 bt]What Happened..?[/font] |
|
[font=verdana]What happened indeed� I am just plain gobsmacked |
|
with the results. We had a virtual global model engine �show� |
|
with 42 tables, 800 posts, all showcasing the highest quality |
|
virtual model and toy steam, gas, and h[/font][font=verdana]ot |
|
air engine displays anywhere. Our first Global Power-Up was a |
|
resounding success! Our attendance was outstanding. Our |
|
participation was off the charts outstanding. In fact to say it |
|
is a resounding success just begins to describe it. To say I am |
|
thrilled is an understatement. I want to thank each and every |
|
one of you who participated for your outstanding efforts and |
|
exceptionally high quality displays and discussions! |

|
our team for their participation and help in planning, |
|
organizing and executing. Together�. we pulled it off�!!![/font] |

Well done to all of you for organising it and all the |
|
participants. |
|
I was intending to partake but unfortunately we had a local |
|
Viking festival ( first one ) |
|
And by hook or crook i was involved and that coupled with all |
|
the feeding out on farm due to drought |
|
I had no time to spare . |

No need to apologize Dennis .... we are sorry that you were |
|
unable to attend and participate, but we do realize that some |
|
folks have lives outside of this hobby, and sometimes those |
|
lives do intrude on free time. Next year you'll show us how it |
|
should be done, I have no doubt! |

Big thumbs up to all that participated, unfortunately I was not |
|
able to do anything this year but really enjoyed all the tables. |
