Well, it is if you're dumb enough to read the blog of a guy who |
|
knows absolutely nothing about them, and if he is dumb enough to |
|
base his assumptions and blog on a book by someone he's never |
|
met, instead of the hundreds of aficionados and satisfied owners |
|
of the marque. |

Quite a few things, I think, but I'm trying to remember it from |
|
comments on Paul Friday's old site. |
|
The main one was the original oil filter, which was apparently |
|
made from one of those brittle aluminium alloys, Mazak maybe, |
|
and was prone to breaking up, with the disastrous results you |
|
might expect. |
|
The later nylon screen's fine of course. |
|
He may have mentioned the lubrication of the inlet valve as |
|
well, but I've never read the book either! |
|
I do have the old Paul Friday files somewhere, and somewhere on |
|
here there's a link to an archiving site, where most of Paul's |
|
handiwork still resides! |

He probably thought the Ducati Darmah was wonderful.I had one |
|
and it was the most unreliable bike I have ever owned.Best thing |
|
I ever did was do a straight swap for it with a Guzzi S3! |
