Excellent LW; liked the steam place, although intrigued by what |
|
looks like a small waterwheel beside the outdoor pump, with no |
|
water flowing. |

What's it for? |

Your bike looks very fetching in green, and I like the colour |

According to the info sheet next to the small waterwheel . . . |
|
.it was set up in a stream, and would run unattended for years. |
|
It's purpose was to pump water uphill to the local farm |
|
building. Although it only pumped a small amount, because it |
|
was running 24 hours a day, it managed to provide enough water |
|
to fill a storage tank. |
|
If you look closely, the water is being fed from the tank behind |
|
the wheel. |
