Hi yet to check pressure again but last ridden was following
white lines and road features these tyres are avon road runners
nearly new what tyres have uk riders found best suited this bike
does 50/50 main roads and back lanes all on Tarmac but lanes are
not to good this time of the year just thought I might ask well
ask other owners and get the best tyre first as last

I bought Heidenau K36 (IIRC) tyres when I first got the bike in
'02, having little faith that the 30 year old rubber would be up
to the job. They were fine, with no whitelining. When the rear
wore out, I was forced to buy a Metzeler ME77, because there
wasn't anything else available at the time, and that worked
perfectly well for a while. However, once part worn, the
handling became dangerously unstable, and the front end would
swerve very alarmingly over white lines and overbanding. Not
just unsettling, but dangerous, so I guess the worn Metzeler
didn't like getting paired with the original Heidenau on the
front. In search of a more dual purpose 'look' I chose a pair of
chunky Heidenau K34s which have shown themselves to be good
enough all rounders. Heidenau are a good source, as they're East
German, and the NF tyres are the same fit as most MZs.

If you're a scratcher, you might find the TT100 more to your
liking.

I'd go for the Heidenau then.
East Germany isn't East Germany any more, and the quality seems
fine.

Hmmmm.... just read this old post as I have had a white-lining
problem with my Falcone (Dunlops front and back). The new rear
tyre wore out after less than 10k km, which I found a little
disappointing, so I am about to change it for a Heidenau. I
hope to comment on the pairing with the slightly worn Dunlop on
the front. Time will tell.......

Hi,
based on my personal experience,
I found the best compromise (vintage look tires ,conduction ,
durability, etc.) with the Metzeler ME 77
I change, the rear tyre every 12000 km ( average) and the front
tyre every 24000 Km ( average)
